$3J00MGES Junk Dealer Says He Was Injured on Thirteenth Street Crossing.

Samuel Jaffe, a Junk dealer has filed suit to recover $3,000 from the P. C. C. and St. L. railroad company for alleged injuries sustained by the plaintiff and for damage to personal property which was caused through alleged negligence on the part of the railroad company. The plaintiff avers that on November, 8, 1912, he was informed by the flagman at North Thirteenth street crossing, that the crossing was clear and that he started to drive across the tracks when a train struck his wagon. Jaffe says that his leg was broken as a result of the accident. He also says that he was otherwise injured. The wagon was demolished and the horse injured, he says.

The members of the Reid Memorial church held a business meeting and congregational supper last night at the church. The reports of the various departments and societies of the church were read and the past year's work gone over. Frank H. Glass was re-elected trustee and B. B. Myrick was re-elected treasurer of the church. About 100 members of the congregation attended the supper and meeting.

NATIONAL CASH CO, OFFICIALS APPEAL From Verdict Which Would Send Them to Prison For Creating a Trust. (National Nwa Association) CINCINNATI, Feb. 14. Announcement was made here today by attorneys for Joseph H. Patterson, the multi-millionaire president of the National Cash Register company of Dayton, and twenty-eight of Its officers and employes, who were found guilty of violating the Sherman anti-trust law that an appeal would be made to the supreme court If necessary to reverse the verdict of the jury returned late last night. The case will go to the court of appeals if TJ. S. Judge Hollister denies the motion already made to set aside the verdict. BAYONET FIGHTING IN STREETS TODAY (National News Association) LAREDO. "Texas, Feb. 14. Reports received here at two o'clock this morning from Mexico City say that fighting in the streets had become a general hand-to-hand battle in which bayonets were used. The report came from the telegraph office in the Mexican capital to telegraph officials here and said conditions were exceedingly alarming.

FUNERAL OF MISS GRAHAM YESTERDAY

His experience with the Hampshire has been that it is the most profitable to feed and intends to sell his entire herd of 75 head of registered Duroc sows the last of this month at Public Sale and devote his entire time to the breeding and feeding the Hampsblres. They have now 100 head of registered Hcmpshire of their own breeding, headed by one of the best male hogs money could buy, and expects to feed 1,000 head for market in 1913. The funeral services for Miss Harriett Hayward Graham the seventeen year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Graham, of Bradentown, Florida, was held from the residence of Geo. H. Dilks in Spring Grove at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, and the burial was in the Hayward lot in Earlham cemetery. The tervices were conducted by Rev. J. S. Lightbourn, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church. Miss Graham was attending the Washington Seminary In Atlanta, Ga., when she was suddenly attacked with acute Brlght's disease. She was taken to the Piedmont Sanitorium and was under the personal care of a specialist. As her condition grew worse, her parents were summoned by telegraph from their home at Bradentown, Florida. They reached Atlanta only three hours before their daughter's death. Miss Graham was a young woman of remarkable personal and mental at

Beyerle, 309 North Eighteenth street Thursday night at 11:20 o'clock of heart failure. Mr. Zimmerman was 81 years old, his age probably being the cause of his death. His body will be removed to Spencerville, Indiana, his former home, for burial, Monday. He is survived by his daughters, Mrs. A. R. Beyerle, of this city, Mrs. J. J. Fink, of Montpelier, Ohio, Mrs. David Schlatter of Fort Wayne and Mrs. John Inbody of Goshen. Friends may call Saturday from two until five o'clock and in the evening from seven until nine o'clock. NEW YORK BANKER IS UNDER ARREST

(National News Association) NEW YORK, Feb. 14. U. S. Marshall Hinkel today arrested George G. Henry of the banking firm of Solomon & Company, who was recently indicted by the grand-jury at Washington, D. C, on the charge of caontempt for refusing to answer questions before the Pujo committee investigating the money trust. Henry declared he would fight extradition to Washington. He pleaded not guilty and was held in $2,000 bail.

A short and Interesting rogram was given on the Customs and Home Life of the People of China. Two appropriate solos were sung by Mrs. G. A. Dwiggins and Mrs. Elmer Parker.
