Mrs. Mary Miller returned to her home at New Madison, Ohio, Monday after a visit with her brothers, Urpha Jones and family and Oscar Jone and wife. Mrs. Ivan Martin is sick at her home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Murray. Simon Miller, of Middletown. Ohio, visited with his parents and sister on Monday. Mrs. Oliver Mahony spent Sunday with friends at Connersville. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Northcott spent Sunday at Mr. Northcotfs parents home near Economy. Mrs. Sam Sursdorfer will entertain
the Two O'clock club Thursday afternoon. Hugh Morris of Indianapolis, spent Sunday here and was accompanied home by his wife and baby who spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Jones. Mr. and Mrs. John Sells and children visited with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Sells, Sunday. Carl Fritz, of New Castle visited -with his parents here last Saturday. Willard Starke, Cash Foyst, Dewey Bookout, Everett Taylor, Wilbur Shuck, Paul Werklrig, Lawrence Mohler and Robert TJrich. Mr. and Mrs. Charles . Teetor and sons have been at Chicago where they attended the auto show, and also at Des Moines, Iowa, the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Teetor. Mrs. Teetor will remain for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Miller entertained Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Miller and two sons, Sunday evening at an oyster supper. Mrs. Sarah Smith and Misses Eva and Dorothy Smith entertained Sunday at dinner Mr. and Mrs. Frank Doughty and family, and Miss Vera Smith. Miss Mary Ward, at Dayton, Ohio. The Ohio Store has been purchased by a gentleman from Pittsburg and the stock removed to that city. The store was formerly the stand of L. R. Gresh who sold to parties in Ohio. The store kept changing hands in the way of speculation. Miss Kathryn Hoshour was retained throughout as clerk and for weeks and months had the entire matter of running the store alone.

Sunday school and the Christian church Bible school voted unanimously Sunday morning against the Sunday open theater. Mrs. H. D. Huddleston entertained the Ruth's Circle of the Christian church Bible school, Tuesday afternoon. A pleasant eompany of ladies , were present. The relatives from out of town, who attended the funeral services of the late Mrs. Rebecca Lowry Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gregory, Mrs. Ed. Mrs. Frank Doty spent Tuesday at Richmond as the guest of her daughter, Mrs. John Thurman. The Christian Endeavor realized $18.60 as the net proceeds of their entertainment, "Fun in a Photographer's Gallery" given at the Odd Fellow's, hall, Saturday evening. Albert Newman and W. H. Miller accompanied Fred Murley to Richmond Tuesday morning where the latter underwent an operation for appendicitis at the Reid Memorial hospital. Word was received that the operation was successful and Mr. Murley is con valescing. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Larson and son, of Doddridge, spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kerlin at Cambridge City. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Brattain entertained as their guests, Monday, Miss Sarah Brattain, of Anderson and George Brattain of Harrisburg. They are the brother and sister of Mr. Brattan. The Rev. F. M. The Rev. and Mrs. F. M. Westhafer have gone to Harlan, near Grabill, north of Fort Wayne to assist his son, the Rev. Victor Westhafer, in a revival meeting. The latter is pastor of the M. E. church at Harlan. The Rev. F. M. Westhafer will be gone about a week and should he be wanted a telegram to Crabill will reach him. Miss Anna Gingrich attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Rebecca Lowry at Bentonville. Dr. Paul of New Lisbon united with the Christian church at New Lisbon. He was baptized by his pastor, the ! Rev. She then spoke of interior decorations, saying that decorations which disturb are not true decorations and cited the things to be avoided in decorating.
