MILTON, IND. MILTON. Ind., Jan. 25. Mrs. Barton was at Connersville, Friday. Robert Manning of New Lisbon, has been at Clark Faucett's. Chas. Hoffman has shipped some pieces of very old furniture to Chicago. One piece was a mahogany chair mad in 1832. There were also two antique bedsteads. The burial of the late Mrs. Mary E. Bilby, of Dublin, will be at Lick Creek, near Harrisburg, Sunday morning. The funeral services will be at the home at 9 a. m. Mrs. Bilby died yesterday. She was a sister of the late Dr. Rhea, of Chicago, brother-in-law of J. L. Manlove of Manlove park. The Christian Endeavor of the Christian church are arranging to give an entertainment on the evenng of February 8. Will Rothermel of Connersville has been visiting his mother, Mrs. Anna M. Rothermel. Sunday services at the Friends church. Sunday school at 9:15 a. m. Preaching morning and evening by the pastor, the Rev. Mary Mills, unless otherwise announced. The M. Mrs. Bertha Wagoner, and daughter, Rachel, of Knightstown, spent Thursday and Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Will Sowers. The Round Table Needlework club met Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Anna Combs, with nine members present. In the serving of lunch, the hostess was assisted by Mrs. H. B. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Mason attended a family reunion, Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Brown, east of Richmond. - Harry Beard, of Portland, was here Thursday evening and returned last night, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. John Beard, who will spend several weeks with her son and his family. Joseph Daly, Mrs. Mary Mauk, and Miss Mary Dennis, spent today with Mrs. Nora Heironimus, of Braffettsville, Ohio. Mrs. Carl Pruitt, who has been seriously sick with appendicitis, is thought to be somewhat improved. Mrs. Alvin Hormel was in Richmond Thursday. Reese and Reigel played for the Twentieth Century club dance, given Friday evening at Milton, John Dora, of this city, was a member of the entertainment committee. The Friday Night club met Thursday evening with Prof, and Mrs. L. E. Thompson. Miss Mary Fisher read an interesting paper on the subject "Entertainments and Amusements of Norway and Sweden," in regard to both public and home life. Prof. Thompson gave an excellent discussion of "Isben A Critical and Comparative Study," comparing the Norwegian author with Tolstoi, Emerson and other great thinkers. He alluded to his originality and individuality. The next meeting will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Scheidler. The Home Department of the Friends' church, of Dublin, of which members residing in this city, held a service Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Oarr, south of Dublin. Thoughtful of Mother. Little Albert is a bright boy. In playing the other day he upset a beautiful imported flower holder, a gift to his mother from a friend who traveled abroad. "There, see what you've done," his mother said, pointing to the fragments on the floor. "Yes, mother, but don't take off your slippers. You might cut your feet," warned the lad. Philadelphia Times.
