ANNOUNCEMENT CARDS. For Bome reason there eems to be doubt concerning Jugt how to reply to announcement card sent out after a wedding. Such cards are only sent when for one reason or another a small, rather private wedding is preferred to a large one. There may have been a death or some member of the family ill, or many and varied reasons

for sending announcement cards in place of invitation to attend either the ceremony or the reception afterwards. In any case, they are perfectly permlssable, and the answer should be Just the mailing of the visiting card of the person addressed. As these announcements are always sent to husband and wife together, the card of each should be inclosed when sent. Two of the husband's with one of the wife's being correct, meaning that the husband calls on husband and wife, while the wife calls upon the wife only. The envelope is addressed to whomsoever sent the announcement, either parents or guardian, brother or whatever. Of course a call In person is to be preferred, but is not necessary. Usually the card of the newly wedded pair, with address and receiving days, is enclosed with the announcement; then the recipient is to call on the day set for the home reception, or If their is no especial day, just a formal call, leaving cards if the

young hostess is not at home, will be all that is needed. It Is not correct to

send acknowledgement of announcement cards to the bride herself, as it is not she who sends them, but to the parties in whose name they are engraved. A friend may write a cordial note of congratulation to the bride, always including the husband if preferred, but as a rule a visiting? card is

enclosed in an envelope and directed

to the parents of the bride, if announcements came in their name. Quiet weddings are often preferred and are always in good style. There may be such a long visiting list that it would be impossible to entertain all; then the card announcing day and date of wedding is a boon.

If you have ever been afflicted with eczema in any form, do not fail to try the D. D. D. cure. I had a bad case. It broke out all over my body and my scalp was covered, even my forehead was

come to ELMER E. MURRAY, RFD. 2, Eaton, O. So many convincing statements, similar to the above, have been made to us privately by sufferers from aggravated skin diseases to whom we have sold the D.
