SWIMMING EXPERT WILLJBCH BOYS Free Lessons Will Be Given Even if Boys Are Not - Members of Y. M. C. A.

By this time next week, many boys will be hurrying to the Y. M. C. A. to take their first swimming lessons, during the past week a census was taken in the city schools to find out how many boys twelve years or over could not swim. The cards returned to the enumerators showed that 335 boys either could not swim at all or could swim less than fifty feet. Parents have been asked to send their boys to the classes. Regardless of whether the boy is a member of the Y. M. C. A. or not, the lessons will be absolutely free. With the Hawkins park project, bringing, to the community a fine bathing beach every boy in the city should be able to swim. No boy can know what moment he will be called upon to save his own or someone's else life and to be un

able to swim under such circumstances is next thing to a crime in itself. Apropos of the coming of Mr. Hebden H. Corsan it may be of some interest to know of how he became a swimming expert engaged in a continent wide campaign of instruction in swimming. Mr. Corsan's father, Geo. li. Corsan, for a number of years past, has been Instructor at Toronto university, Toronto, Canada, and it was in Corsan Junior's early boyhood days that he became a swimmer of no mean ability. Then during one summer While with his father at a summer resort, he became interested in observing him as he taught the resorters to swim. To do this, Hebden hid under the boat pier in order that he might from a point of advantage be able to see and hear all and still not be seen. The following year he spent a great deal of his time in the natatorium with the university swimmers, teaching the "freshies' how to swim. His unusual Btate of Ohio, city of Toledo, Lucas County. j Frank J. Cheney makes oath that he Is senior partner of the firm of F. J. Cheney & Co., doing business in the City of Toledo, County and State aforesaid, and that said firm will pay the sum of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS for each and every case of Catarrh that cannot be cured by the use of HALL'S CATARRH CURE. Takes a Mild Laxative With Good Pepsin and Insures His Comfort and Pleasure. Fortunate is the man who can eat "anything" without suffering the tortures of dyspepsia, but as few are so fortunate care should be taken in the matter of diet. Eating slowly, masticating the food thoroughly and taking a short walk after the heavy meal of the day will do much towards assisting digestion. Any grown-up person ought to know the peculiar foods that do not agree, and these should be avoided. When these common-sense aids fail, the next thing to do 1b to take a mild digestive tonic with laxative properties, and there is none better than Dr'. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin. It contains the greatest of all aids to digestion, good pepsin. It has other ingredients that act mildly on the bowels, and combined It forms a combination for the relief of dyspepsia or indigestion that is unsurpassed. Its action is to tone and strengthen
