Deaths and Funerals. NYE Julia G. Nye died Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at her home, 41 South Twelfth street, after a uuee hours' illness. Death was due to apoplexy. She is survived by her husband, Ralph W. Nye, two sons, Harry, of Chicago, and Charles of this city. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the home. Friends may call any time. Burial in Earlham cemetery. BENSON Louise Benson, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rader Benson, died Saturday night at the home of Its parentB, 1414 North H street. The funeral was held this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Burial was in Earlham cemetery. ESSEMAKER Mrs. Joseph W. Essemaker, aged 67 years, died this morning at 4:30 o'clock at the heme of her daughter, Mrs. Oscar Trouse, in Easthaven avenue. She is survived by her husband .one daughter, five brothers and a sister. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

On the grounds of failure to provide Gertie Dixon was granted a divorce from Clyde Dixon by Judge Fox in the Wayne circuit court. The plaintiff was also granted the custody of their child. Motion to dissolve restraining order was made in the case of Belle H. Harlan versus Samuel I. Harlan, action for divorce and alimony. Amended complaint was filed in the case of Mira Christman versus John Henry Christman, suit for divorce and alimony. ;j

Complaint on account attachment and garnisheement was filed by the Armoni company versus the Southern Land and Lumber company, Benjamin Johnson and John R. Johnson partners, doing business under the firm name of B. Johnson and son. The demand is $1,000. Answer of the defendant, confessing judgment was filed in the case of Benjamin G. Price company versus Harry D. Jones, complaint on note to foreclose chattel mortgage, demand $160.

Before the Turkish fleet began its bombardment Nazim Pacha, the Turkish minister of war, sent a note to the inhabitants of Rodesto ordering

them to evacuate the town. As the civilians fled the Bulgarian troops which had been encamped beyond the city entered Rodosto and the Bulgarian artillery upon the heights opened fire upon the ships. All the guns of the war fleet were brought into action by the Bulgarian artillery which shelled fiercely. During the height of the bombardment boats were put off from the chips bearing the Turkish soldiers. Under the fire of the squadron the soldiers formed upon the beach fixing bayonets upon their guns. When 3,000 soldiers had been landed the order to charge was given and the Turks marde a furious assault upon the Bulgarian infantry. According to the Turkish authorities the Bulbars

The Junior class of the Y. M. C. A. held its annual aquatic meet Saturday afternoon. The meet this year was more successful than any meet ever held by this class, Tom Lyons breaking a record for the twenty year swim and scoring the most individual points. Lester Leiter broke the record for the standing dive, diving thirtyseven and seven-tenths feet. Lyons broke the twenty yard record by a fifth of a second, making the distance in thirteen and a tenth seconds. Those

HUNTING LICENSES

The hunting season is on In full blast. This is conclusively proved by the record in the county clerk's office of the number of hunting licenses issued up to the present. Each day a large number of huntsmen call at the clerk's office for licenses, which empowers them, with the permission of the owner of the land, to hunt any place in Wayne county. On Saturday 111 hunting licenses were issued. It 13 expected that the total number which now exceeds 200 will be considerably increased each day until after Thanksgiving.

RUSSIA SENDS TROOPS. ST. PETERSBURG, Nov. 11. Russia is the first of the great powers to send troops to Turkey. The Russian warship Rostisau sailed for Constantinople today with two battalions of infantry on board. Ostensibly the troops are for the projection of Russian interests in the Turkish capital. However, the reparture of the soldiers gave rise to a sensational rumor that the members of the triple alliance and the triple entente had reached an agreement to place a great international army in Constantinople. There is great activity In the war and navy offices here and the whole military strength of the empire is being officially canvassed.

(National News Association) CHICAGO, Nor. 11. Arrangements for the trial of Daniel Campbell, charged with pernicious political activity were made today at the federal building here. The trial will begin before a commission, consisting of Secretary Doyle of the civil service commission, Secretary Newton of the Seventh district, and a poBt office inspector, designated by Postmaster General Hitchcock. The specific charge against Campbell is distributing money to post office employes at a meeting of the Fourteenth Ward Republican club to be used by them in the interests of the administration in the recent general election.
