other agencies. The fact that the moving picture drama is rapidly evolving into a legitimate medium of theatric expression is becoming established. The stories told by them are entertaining. a Comedy, of course, prevails. But there is little farce. And as little tragedy, although there pre some picture plays that do not have the traditional "happy ending." The majority depict every day life In its various aspects and the human clement is dominant. Many plays are made from historic 'Incidents and characters and these nre educative as well as entertaining. But are these patronized by that rlement which points the finger at the 'wild west" drama? Not so you could notice it. At least not in considerable numbers. Not long since a series of splendid pictures was shown here reciting the (incidents in the life of Columbus, pre'vious and subsequent to, as well as including, his discovery of America. TheSe pictures were brought here ,by one of the picture theatres at heavy expense. And were of enormous educative lvalue.

That's one reason citizens should ' tteud the sessions of the city council. By getting their information at first hand by personal observation, they j might find out that a lot of things '

were entirely different from what they seem. Its like that famous objurgation that "nothing good ever comes to Rlch,r J'Ad,"- in a theatric way by those ."-,' -ssed up the Irish Players, the - 1 ika orchestra. "Thy Neighbor's - J iiti1 nthur ini-nimiarnhlA thlncn
