(National News Association) CHICAGO, 111., Oct. 25. In the elections one week from next Tuesday twenty-nine states will elect governors, In addition to other officials. Arkansas, Georgia, Maine and Vermont elected their governors earlier in the year. Alabama, Arizona, California, 'Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wyoming the present executives held over until next year or Uater. The States that will elect governors ton November 5, with the candidates iliamed by the several parties for the iofflce, are as follows: Colorado Democratic, E. M. Amimons; Republican, Clifford C. DISTRICT W. R, C. TO MEET HERUII 1913 Annual Session Held at New Castle Yesterday. Local Corps Represented.
The 1913 convention of the Sixth district Woman's Relief Corps will be held in Richmond. The twenty-second annual convention of the corps convened at New Castle yesterday with the following officers and members of Sol. Meredith Post W. R. C, this city, in attendance: Mrs. Kate Scott, department I and officer of that department; Mrs. Wilson, president; Mrs. Cogshalk, senior vice president; Mrs. Christopher, junior vice president; Mrs. Hall, secretary; Mrs. Paxton, assistant guard; Mrs. Arnold, press correspondent; Mrs. White, second C. B.; Mrs. Warfel, Mrs. McDivitt, Mrs. Newman, Mrs. Osborn, Mrs. Bond, Mrs. Personett, Mrs. Mathews, and Mrs. Thompson. In the afternoon the ritualistic work was exemplified by the New Castle corps and was worthy of commendation. Thirteen corps' gave very interesting reports of the past year's work. The following officers were elecjted for the ensuing year: District president, Mrs. Gough, New Castle; S. V. president, Mrs. Anderson, Union City; J. V. president, Mrs. Cornell, Union City; treasurer, Mrs. Cassidy, Middletown; delegate to national convention, Mrs. Alice Metzker. Alternate, Ida Gordon, Modoc.
