U. and the people of Milton, In a very able address on the temperance question, at the M. S. church, Sunday evening. A good audience was present to hear her. Kirlin, east of town, Sunday. The Rev. F. C. McCormick closed a week's series of meetings at Bentonville Christian church, Friday evening. He will begin a series of revival efforts at Abington, this week. Mrs. Vina Beeson, of south of Milton, was at Richmond, Saturday to see friends and shop. Dr. Sweeney raised a squash this season that measures 28 Inches long, 36 inches in circumference and weights 31 pounds. A peculiar thing in its growth was that It grew on the fence and stood straight up, the stem resting on the fence. Mr. and Mrs. Van Crawford entertained as their guests, Sunday, Mr. Crawford's father, F. J. Crawford "and family, of near Bentonville. Mr. and Mrs. David Nugent have as their house wguest, Mrs. A. E. McMahan entertained Mrs. Mary Sibbett, of Kansas, over Sunday night. Miss Edna Wallace left yesterday for Terre Haute to take up her course of study at the State Normal.

Mr. Turner has been employed here for some time as baker in the Nixon bakery. Mrs. Harry Myers of Dayton, is spending the week with relatives in this vicinity. Mrs. Edward Anderson Is recovering from a severe attack of acute indigestion. Mrs. James Hill suffered a slight stroke of paralysis Monday evening. She was preparing to move to Chicago where she intended to spend the winter with relatives. Her sister, Mrs. Thomas, of Chicago, and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Carder, are with her. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dent spent the first of the week with Mrs.. Dent's parents. Mr. nd Mrs. Green. Mr. Raldh Clark had his shoulder bone broken one day last week while playing on; the school ground.
