CLUB CONDUCTS SHOOTIHG MATCH Sore Shoulder Shooting Club Enjoys Saturday Afternoon Match.
The second match of the Sore Shoulder Shooting club of Fairview was held Saturday. Most of the shooters -were bothered by a change made la shooting at the last five birds in the series of twenty-five. They shot twenty shots at the trap and then went back sixteen yards for the last fir shots and some poor scores were made here. George Burkhardt was the only one to make a perfect score at the extended distance. A larger number of shooters faced ,the trap this time and the club seems to beasaured of twenty-five members. First place was taken by Charles Carrol in Saturday's shoot, with the score of twenty out of a possible twenty-five.. Out of the twenty-five birds sent up, the following results were made: Ray Robblna 19, Jack Thomas 17,. Bert RusBel 17, George Burkhardt 16, James Reed 14,- Emil Weist 12, Herschel Fuller 12, Chester Burdsall 10 and Walter Evans 9. Thomas and Russell shot off the tie, Thomas winning. In thetsecond event between Evans, Robbins and E. C. Dickinson, Mr. Dickinson, the gunsmith, who is an old trap shooter, lead with twenty out of twenty-five. Robbins broke 17 and Evans broke 13. A NEW MACHINE TO BE MADE HEBE
Rumored that an Orchard Tractor Will Be Made at ' Gaar-Scott Plant. Local officials of the M. Rumely company profess to know nothing regarding the selection of the Richmond plant for the manufacture of what will be known as the Orchard tractor. A report from Laporte where the home offices of the M. Rumely company are, says that the construction of the new tracr will entail the employment of 1,000 men and that the Richmond plant will be selected as the one where the new machine will be made. The rumor that the Gaar-Scott plant would concentrate its entire attention to the manufacture of a certain class of traction engines had not reached the ears of local officials today. They said they knew nothing of it, and that the plant would continue to manufacture engines and machines it now makes.
