Wheelan, of Richmond, who are spending some time In that city. Miss Jess Anderson of Indianapolis, i is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cope- ! land, for a fortnight. Mrs. Violetta Vandevanter, after ' some time spent with Mrs. M. B. McCaffrey at her summer home, has gone to Monticello to visit friends. Miss Louise Ebert is Quite sick -with typhoid fever at her home on West Main street. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Pruitt and daughter, Luclle, went to Noblesville Sunday, for a visit of two weeks with I his mother. Roy Hill of Mllford Center, Ohio, was In Cambridge City Saturday, to ! see his wife, who is spending a few I weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. i James Mustin. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ware of In- : dianapolis, were entertained at tea Frliday evening, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Marson. Members of the four sections of the Social Union will meet Tuesday afternoon In the Methodist church. Every member is urged to be in attendance, I bringing with her a darning needle, as I there are comforts to be knotted. Mr. and Mrs. George Barrett and Mr. and Mrs. A. H. HodBon and son, Herbert, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ora Boring, of Greenfield. C. T. Wright is Improving after an illness of several days. Mrs. Flora M. Clawson received the .third prize, ten dollars, offered by Silburt Company of Cleveland, for the largest order during the month of July. Mr. and Mrs. Israel Morrey and W. F. Kirkwood were in attendance last Friday, at the funeral of Mrs. Sarah Hixon of New CaBtle. Mrs. Willard Ulrica went to Indianapolis Saturday evening to remain until Tuesday. Her daughter, Katherine, who has been visiting friends in that city, will return with her. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Harvey and their guest, Miss Margaret Plummer of Wabash, Mr. and Mrs. George Babcock, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Harper, were entertained Sunday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Copeland, in compliment to their guest. Miss Jess Anderson of Indianapolis. Mrs. Delia Williams spent Sunday afternoon at the Reid Memorial hospital in Richmond, with her son Beale, who is apparently Improving, after the operation for appendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bryan and S. Shelton spent Friday in Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ware, after several days spent with the former's sister, Mrs. Will Harris, went to New Castle Saturday evening, to visit relatives before returning to their home in Indianapolis. ' Two substantial and -pretty homes are nearing completion in the north part of town, that of Jesse Hoover, near the St. Elizabeth's parsonage, and the other, the bungalow of H. H. Bryan, on the corner of Front and Walnut. The Degree of Pocahontas will have work Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Sloniker and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Mustin at dinner, Sunday. Mrs. J. W. Beard went to Fort Wayne Sunday to spend the week with her sister, Mrs. Laura Sommers. . She will be joined in that city by her son, Robert, who has been visiting his brother, Clayton, in Chicago. The members of the A. M. E. Sunday school will picnic Thursday in Jackson park. An urgent invitation Is extended not only to Cambridge City Sunday school, but to those of adjoining towns as well. Mrs. Charles Grooms and Mrs. Ford Wysong of Indianapolis, who are spending several days in Germantown, on account of the illness of their aunt, Mrs. Katherine Sowers, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Mrs. Lily Craig, of Richmond, who has been the guest of Mr. and Mb. Frank Wallace, south of town, is now visiting Mr. and Mrs. Mart Porter, near Connersville. Watson Faucett was a guest at dinner, yesterday with Mr. and Mrs. Wirt Ashbaugh, east of town. Others from Milton, who attended the Milton Bchool reunion, at Jackson's park Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Menry HcMahan and family, Mrs. L. H. Warren and children, Mrs. Adam Snyder and datighters. Miss Mildred Klotz, who is visiting here, Miss Ruth Leverton and brother, Arthur, Colbert Ingerman and sister, Miss Cotana, Miss Lena Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Crist, Mrs. W. L. Parkins, Miss Bertie Frizee, the Misses Dora and Edna Wallace, Mr. Frank Mueller and Mrs. Josie Clouds, of Indianapolis, Andrew Kerber, Harry Gause, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Dorgan. Miss Rosella Matthews has returned from a few days spent in Centerville. Mr. and 'Mrs. Will Jeffries and Mrs. Sam Hoshour spent Thursday with relatives and friends at New Castle. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hoshour were here from Cambridge City to spend Friday. The sister, Miss Abbie, accompanied them home to spend a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Lycurgus Beeson spent yesterday in Winchester as the guests of Prof, and Mrs. C. H. Wood. The funeral services of George June the fourteen months' old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edw. McConley, were conducted at the home, here yesterday afternoon. The burial was at Riverside cemetery, Cambridge City. Mr. and Mrs. Christian Kerber, returned to Indianapolis, Saturday. Mr. Mueller is professor of mechanical drawing at the Manual Training school in Indianapolis.
The Milton school board organized at its regular meeting Friday evening. Lycurgus Beeson, president; Charles Ferris, treasurer; Benj. Knipe, secretary. Albert Newman was one of an auto company with Oran Bragg, to Connersville, Friday evening. Mrs. Alice Gresh entertained the Endeavor meeting and her class, the Loyal Sons, of the Christian church Bible school, Friday evening. A fine evening was enjoyed by all. O. II. Beeson and Mr. and Mrs. Christian Kerber were at Richmond Friday. The Embroidery club will meet with Mrs. H. D. Huddleston, Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. George Kerber had as their guests, over Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Miller and daughter, of near Lyons Station. Mrs. Lou Kimmel and son, Arthur, of Muncie, and Miss Barbara Krn, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. William Kimmel, east of Milton. Christian Kerber is now in possession of the- papers for his new town property. He recently purchased the late Dama Warren property on eWst Main. Consideration 0800. Edw. Mrs. John Thurman and daughter, of Richmond, and mother, Mrs. Frank Doty were at Connersville, Saturday. Mrs. Alice Jones, who has been spending several days with her late husband's relatives and other relatives and friends, here, left Saturday, enroute to Greenfield to visit relatives. Mrs. F. M. Jones accompanied her. Frank Doty attended the Progressive Republican convention at Chicago and now wears the Moose pin. The Chautauqua at Richmond, is being well advertised at Milton for August 23 to September 1. A large number from here will attend. Mrs. Hogan, of Cambridge City, has been with her daughter, Mrs. Edw. McConley, since the death of their baby. Mrs. Albert Newman and guest. Miss Selene Hale, were Cambridge City visitors Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Santford Wissler entertained as their callers, Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Ray, Mr. and Mrs. Kerlin, of Chicago, and Mrs. J. R. Gray and daughter, Louise, from Chice, California. Miss Selene Hale, who has been visiting her aunt, Mrs. Harden and other friends, returned to Dublin, Saturday evening. Mrs. Josie Clouds, who visited relatives here and attended the Milton school reunion at Jackson's Park, has returned to Indianapolis.
