NEW PARIS, OHIO. NEW PARIS, O., July 10. Mrs. Robert McGill and daughter Elsie and Mr. Ed Shattell, of Richmond, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Burleigh McGill. Mrs. Lilleson and daughter, Laura, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aker. Susie Brower was the Sunday guest of Miss Gladys Miller. Mrs. Margaret Murray is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Gwinn, in Dayton. Miss Mildred is visiting relatives in Anderson. CENTERVILLE, IND. CENTERVILLE, Ind., July 10. Evan Brant, who lived in the Robbins property in the east part of town, has moved to his farm recently purchased of William Niewoehner. CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind., July 10. Herbert Kocher was in Richmond, Tuesday on business. Mrs. Geo. Ward went to Richmond, Tuesday evening, called, by the death of a relative, John Peterson. F. C. Mosbaugh received a telegram from Oxford, Ohio, Tuesday morning, stating that his son, Dr Robert Mosbaugh had successfully undergone an operation for internal rupture and had come from under the anesthetic with no ill effect. Mr. and Mrs. George Hodge have returned after a wedding trip spent in Cedar Point, and Dayton. Ohio. They will spend a few days with Mrs. Hodpe's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Vannieter, before going to their own home In Richmond. Earl Barefoot spent Monday in Indianapolis. Mrs. A. B. Gough has been In Connersville this week on account of the illness of her father, who still remains In a critical condition. Earl Murbarger of Indianapolis was 'a Cambridge City, Monday evening. Harry Barefoot of Cowan is a visitor !n the home of his grandson, Mrs. Barbara Barefoot. Nichols of Dayton, have been in Cambridge City this week, Mr. Nichols going from this place to Knightstown. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Mungavin, of Richmond, their brother. Will Mungavin, of New Paris, Ohio, and John Pusinelli of Anderson, were the guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Pusinelli. Mrs. Arthur Cosgrove has purchased the Hawley property on Maple street. Consideration $1100. Mrs. Cosgrove will occupy it as a residence. Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Calloway, Mrs. J. B. Routh and Edwin Calloway and family were the guests, Sunday at Mr. and Mrs. William Peed of New Castle. The work of remodelling the residence owned by Mrs. Anthony Pusinelli, on West Church street, began yesterday. An additional story will be built, and other improvements made. Alvin Eaton is spending a few days this week with his sister, Mrs. Grace Sharkey at Greenwood. Miss Mollie Peterson and Mrs. George Shofer of Richmond were in Cambridge City Tuesday morning on their way to Muncie to accompany to Richmond the remains of a relative, John Peterson, who was killed by walking into an open elevator shaft in one of the department stores of that city.

Miss Mary McCready, who has been the guest of Mrs. Mary Passmore, for a few days, returned to her home at Laurel, yesterday. Mrs. Geo. Snyder of Bentonville, was greeting friends here yesterday. She was enroute to Connersville. Several here saw the big meteor and jmany more saw the flash of its light and heard the explosion. Mrs. Willis Leverton, Miss Ruth Leverton and guest. Miss Lois Hamilton, of Muncie, formed a party to the country and spent yesterday with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Revelee. R. H. Newman, of Chiqago, spent yesterday with his mother, Mrs. E. B. Newman and family. Mr. Newman moved his household goods to Chicago. Charles Callaway and Miss Hattie Sills were at Cambridge City, yesterday to attend the sale of household goods belonging to the estate of the late Mrs. M. M. Callaway. Mrs. Frank Izor came from Indianapolis Monday evening to spend a few days with her mother and brother, Mrs. Elizabeth and Earl Atkinson and other relatives. The Richmond campers that have been located south of town, near the Feeder Dam, broke camp, today. Mrs. Myrtle Rowley and daughter, of Indianapolis, are the. guests of Mrs. Alice DuGranrut and family, until Saturday. Mrs. L. A. Bragg has returned from a visit in Indianapolis, with her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Verno Bragg. She is some improved in health. Several from here were at Cambridge City yesterday to attend the sale of household goods belonging to the estate of the late Mrs. M. N Callaway, yesterday. Mrs. Alice Gresh is visiting her cousin. Miss Clara Watt, of near Connersville. Miss Norma Hurst, living southeast of town, entertained a company of young friends the latter part of the week at her country home. The music recital given by Miss Nellie Jones, in honor of her pupils and their parents. Saturday afternoon was a very pleasing social affair. There were a number of choice selections by the pupils with special numbers by friends, among whom was Mrs. Merriman, of Fort Wayne, who is the guest of her sister, Mrs. McCormick. Miss Dora Wallace, who recently returned home from Minneapolis, was also an
invited guest. Miss Jones served .refreshments and was assisted to serve by Miss Luella Lantz and Miss Mary Jones. Mrs. Alice Greeh entertained at evening dinner Saturday in honor of the Rev. and Mrs. F. C. McCormick and sister, Mrs. Merriman. Mr. Rayle of near Bentonville, was greeting friends here, yesterday. Mrs. Frank Izor sprained her ankle very severely, yesterday. Her shoe heel turned with her causing her ankle to become twisted. The Rev. and Mrs. McCormick and family, including Mrs. Merriman, were entertained with friends, at New Lisbon, Sunday. About seventy-five of the young people of east of town spent the evening of the Fourth at a party given by the Misses Ethel Trosell, Monica Willitts, Lois and Daphne Daily at Camp Mondaloethod, on Mr. Troxell's farm, at Butler Springs. The camp was prettily decorated in the colors, red. white and blue and lighted Japanese lanterns gave a charming effect. Sandwiches, marshfallows and punch were served as refreshments. Tmy American flags were given as favors. Two hours were spent in a fine display of fireworks furnished by the camp girls and their visitors. The evening was one of the most delightful ones ever spent by the young people who participated. Miss Marie Little has been entertaining as her guest, Miss Josie Lammot t. Mr. and Mrs. Emory Wolford and son, Donovan, have been here from In dianapolis as the guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Senior and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Emmet Crowe of Richmond kas greeting relatives and friends here Monday. He was enroute to Connersville. Oran Bragg is suffering fro ma lame knee. Mr. Bragg ran a rusty nail in his knee and inflicted quite a wound. In attempting to wash the inside of the wound by means of medicated cotton; the piece of cotton lost off in the wound and he has not yet been able to locate it. Thos. B. Lantz was at Richmond, Monday, on a business trip. : Mrs. Geor. Klemm and sister, Miss Lannartz, returned Monday night from Fort Recovery, Ohio. Mr. Klemm and Miss Catherine Snyder were at New Lisbon to meet them. Mrs. L. M. Gentle of Richmond was here to attend the funeral of the late William Passmore, Saturday. Miss Catherine Snyder entertained Miss Mabel Scott, of south of town, Sunday. Lacy Sipple of Ft. Wayne was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Snyder, Sunday.
