The lawn at the home was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Japanese lanterns were strung about the lawn and were used for illumination. Indoors pennants and garden flowers were used in decorating. The occasion was much enjoyed by all.

CONCERNING SORORITY. The following Bulletin from New Castle, Indiana, concerning the Psi Iota XI sorority convention which is in cession there will interest many: The tenth annual convention of the Ps! Iota Xi Sorority is in session at toe Bundy Hotel and will continue until tomorrow with delegates In attendance from Indiana and Ohio cities to the number of fifty. The business session was held today and was presided over by Grand President Nellie Fowler of Indianapolis. Reports were made by Grand Secretary Elaine Jones of Richmond and Grand Secretary Ruth Meek of Kokomo. Charters were granted to Cincinnati, O., and Alexandria, Ind. A banquet was given at the hotel tonight, and with the election of officers the convention will close tomorrow.
COMES SATURDAY. Mr. E. M. Allen of Chicago will come , Saturday to spend over Sunday here with hii mother, Mrs. J. H. Gilchrist, 11118 Main street, before leaving for Europe, Mr. Allen will sail June the eleventh for Austria where he has business interests.
TO GIVE FESTIVAL. The ladies of the Boston Christian church will give an ice-cream social Saturday evening, June the twentyninth at the Boston church. The public is most cordially invited to attend.
RECITAL MONDAY. What promises to be a most charming and delightful musical event will be the violin recital to be given Monday evening in the High School Auditorium when Professor Hicks presents some of his older pupils. He will be assisted by Mrs. Fred Bartel and Mrs. Charles Igelman.
TO VISIT RELATIVES. Miss Louise Peterson of Richmond und Mrs. J. L. Peterson of Economy, Indiana, left today for a visit with relatives and friends in St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri.
TO MIDDLETOWN. Miss Elmina Stldham of near Lynn,
Indiana, has gone to Middletown
where she will visit with relatives for several days.
FOR CHICAGO. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Farmer and son and daughter will leave Saturday lnornlng for Chicago. Mr. Farmer goes on to Minneapolis while the remainder oi the party will visit relatives for a fortnight in Chicago.
MARRIED TUESDAY. Belated announcement has just been made of the marriage of Miss Byrdella Weber and Mr. Perry Zindorf at Covington, Kentucky, Tuesday, June the twenty-fifth. They were accompanied to Kentucky by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mergler, Miss Kathleen Murray and Mr. Charles Hartzler. The bride formerly lived at Covington. They are at home to their many friends at 121 South Fourth street.
A GUEST HERE. Miss Grace McKee of Connersville, Indiana, is visiting friends here and attending the State Sunday school convention. Last evening she was entertained to dinner by Miss Ethel Thomas at her home in North C street
DANCE THIS EVENING. A dance will be given this evening at the Country club by the members of the June social committee. All members are asked to attend. This will be the last party for the month.
VISITING HERE. "Miss Marie Witters of Milwaukee is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Schattel of South Twelfth street for a few days.
TO MARION.
Mr. Fred Bollmeyer went to Marion, Indiana, last evening to attend today's sessions of the Phi Delta Kappa convention.

A SOCIAL EVENT. Wednesday evening at the home of Misses Mary and Imogene Smith the members of Theta chapter of Psi Iota XI gave a garden party, the initial social event incident to the national convention whichis being held here this wek About a hundred guests were in attendance and the party was one of the most brilliant social affairs ever given in the city. Japanese lanterns and incandescent lights were hung in the trees and seats and rustic benches scattered through the grounds added to the comfort of the guests. During the evening beautiful musical numbers were furnished by Miss Cordelia Kautz of Kokomo and Miss Louise Mil-
hkan and Mr. Don Millikan of this city. The guests were served with light refreshments, after which a private entertainment at the Royal theater, through the courtesy of the management. Later in the evening there was an enjoyable dance at the Moose hall. IVntecost and Stinson furnishing the music for dancing. This affair was very informal and served as a delightful opportunity for the visting guests to become acquainted with each other as well as the members of the local chapter. Besides the delegates and the members of the Newcastle chapter with tteir guests, those who enjoyed the ev
ening were Messrs. Leal Fowler of .Indianapolis, Frank Brant of Hagerstown, Frank Budd, Wallace Ballard ODd Homer McCrillus of Muncie, Walker Land, Ed Williams and Warren Clements of Richmond. Delegates from all chapters of the sorority are present at the convention

TO BE MARRIED. The nuptials of Miss Elsie Weaver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weaver of Greenville, Ohio, to Mr. Earl B. O'Hara, son-of Mr. and Mrs. Mark O'Hara of this city will be solemnized at the home of the bride's parents in Anderson avenue Saturday evening at tlx thirty o'clock in the presence of many relatives and friends. The bride and groom will come to Richmond Sunday where they will be entertained to dinner by Mr. and Mrs. O'Hara. Lator they will go to their new apartments in the Holland Flats, North Fifteenth street where they will have a residence. Mr. O'Hara is employed by ihe Pennsylvania Railroad.
