HAGERSTOWN, IND. Hagerstown, Ind., June 8. Mrs. C. W.' Abel spent a part, of the week with relatives at Alexandria. Stanley Wissler of New York City, is here to spend the vacation with his grandmother, Mrs. Amanda Gebpliart. The Priscilla club was very delightfully entertained Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Martin Werking on East Main street. Seven members and two guests, Mrs. James Scott of Clinton, 111., and Mrs. J. H. Kid well, were present. A two course luncheon was served. The History club will meet Monday with Mrs. J. M. Hartley. The annual guest day will be observed June 18th, at the beautiful suburban home of Mrs. C. N. Teetor. Mrs. C. M. Miller and daughter, Frances, returned to Anderson Thursday. Miss Blanche Coffman will entertain the Home and Foreign Missionary Society of the Christian church Thursday afternoon, June 13th. The M. E. Sunday school will observe Children's day with exercises at the services tomorrow evening. Excellent music will be furnished. Mrs. Holiace Hoover entertained the Two O'clock Embroidery club Thursday afternoon at her hime, southwest of town. Outside of the members the guests present were Mrs. Charles Crump of Greensfork, Miss Iva Wimraer, Mrs. W. O. Jones and Mrs. Chas. F. Ported. ' The hours were pleasantly spent with needlework, followed by a three course luncheon. The living room was attractively decorated with peonies aid roses. The club will meet in two weeks with Mrs. Syril Hiatt. Mrs. Alonzo Williams and children returned to New Castle, Friday evening. Gabriel Hardman still remains very poorly. The little daughter, Beatrice, of Charles Northcott, is improving after being in a very precarious condition from typhoid fever. Samuel Lavrick has now taken possession of the Led better hotel and it will be known as the "New Home Hotel.'" Mr. and Mrs. Ledbetter will move"' to the John Fouts property on Fancy Hill, which they have purchased.
