Mr. and Mrs. Omar Cory will go to New Castle tomorrow (Saturday) to spend Sunday with relatives. Mrs. Wlllard Ulrica has returned from Richmond, where on Thursday afternoon she was a guest at a card ! party given by her niece, Mrs. W. D. Williams. Charles Hunt and his mother, Mrs. iA- J. Walter Krone returns tonight after a week spent in various cities of Ohio in the interest of the Judkins Casket company. Omar Hurst attended the funeral of his brother-in-law Isaac Fox at Alexandria, Thursday afternoon. Whlteley & Son, fruit growers, are at present putting on the third summer spray. The apple trees in this locality have shed their bloom, probably due to lack of prollenization. The fruit now on the trees, - however, Is thought to be alright. Band of Hager'stown, will furnish the music. The procession will form at the Red Men's Hall promptly at half-past one, going directly to the cemetery. Nugent as guests. Nice refreshments were served. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Chas. Davis. Miss Ruth Leverton was the guest of friends in Cambridge City Wednesday. The Eastern Star at Milton, conferred its degrees on Mrs. Stella Jenkins, of Cambridge City, Wednesday evening. Harry McPherson and Miss Elsie Commons, of New Paris were married In Eaton Wednesday morning by Rev. C. A. Hunter, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Eaton. They were accompanied to Eaton by the groom's parents, Mr. and'Mrs. Joseph McPherson, who attended at the wedding. The groom is a school teacher in the Jefferson township schools and is well known and popular while the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Commons and is one of New Paris' most popular young ladies. A six o'clock dinner will be served in honor of the party at the home of the groom's parents Thursday evening at which a number of young people will be present. Ohio, was here Tuesday greeting old friends. Word from Will Sawyer, who lives near New Madison, is to the effect that he is very sick, the third operation within ten days having occurred. Mrs. Will Kleeberger and baby of Anderson are the guests of her sister, Mrs. Will Dwyer. Mr.and Mrs. C. W. Bennett are moving into their remodeled home on High street this week. They have a nice place built up with steam bath and all modern improvements. The Grand Lodge of the K. of P. order will be held next week at Canton, Ohio. A. B. Heath and J. M. Sawyer are the delegates from the local lodge and Mrs. Paul Ziegler will represent the Pythian Sisters. Mrs. W. S. Sayler of Gratis, O., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Aker today.
