Mills has returned after several day spent In Peru, Mexico, and Loganaport, visiting acquaintances formed the past summer, while oa a trip through the West. Mrs. Barbara Barefoot is visiting her son, EUam Barefoot and family, of Cowan. Her granddaughter, Miss Mabel, will accompany her, upon her return home. An all-day meeting of .the Guild was heUv Thursday In the Presbyterian church. The time was profitably spent In quilting and piecing of blocks, with a bounteous dinner served at noon. Mrs. Roy Pelton, of Armanda, Miohigan and" Mrs. Karl- Boyd, of Chicago, were guests. Hereafter, the regular meetings will be held on Tuesday afternoons. Mrs. Mary Hewitt and daughter, Lucile, and Miss Mary Riger, have returned to Muncie, after a visit with Miss Elisabeth Shuttleworth. John Baily has returned after a visit In Muncie. Mrs. Howard Beeson was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. eoGrge Butler, of Germantown. at tea, Wednesday evening. Miss Gaynelle Hagaman attended the May Music Festival at Richmond, Wednesday evening. Mrs. Charles Kniese, and daughter, Pauline, and Miss Lora Beeson, of Milton, left Wednesday evening to visit friends in Lyons, Iowa. Roy Schepman and family have returned from Olney, Illinois, in which city Mrs. Schepman and Bon, Paul, have spent the past month with her mother, Mrs. Emma Roberts. Postmaster Zehring and John Shroyer will represent the Cambridge Cityv Lodge, F. & A. M. at Grand Lodge to be held in Indianapolis, early in June. Mies Grace Mills enterained the members of her class in the Presbyterian Sunday school Wednesday afternoon at her home on Mulberry St. The hours were merrily spent at out-of-door games. A two course lunch in the serving of which the hostess was assisted by Mrs. Walter Krone and Mrs. H. S. Schiedler, brought to a close a happy afternoon. C, T. Wright transacted business in Richmond Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. H. Benton Wilson had as their guests at dinner Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. 5"rank Phelman and daughter, Miss Blanche, of Millville, the Misses Maria and Mary Wilson, of New Lisbon; Mrs. Mary Nicholson and Miss Emma Nicholson, of New Castle, and Mr. and Mrs. John Marson, of this city. ;i The ladies of the St. Elizabeth's church will serve supper in the Fraunberg Building Tuesday evening, June fourth. The District Meeting of the Degree of Pocahontas was held in this city, yesterday. The delegates began arriving at an early hour. The council session opened at half past one in the afternoon with the Connersville, Shelbyville and Greenfield Degree Staffs in attendance. Mrs. H. H. Bryan returned yesterday (Thursday) from Springfield, Ohio, bringing with her, her brother, Samuel Shelton, who is very seriously afflicted with rheumatism. She was also accompanied by her nephew, Chas. Shelton, of Carlisle, Ohio., Miss Lucile Carney, and Messrs. Thomas Riley and Richardson, of Richmond, Miss Mary Dillon, and Wilt Myers, were the guests of Miss Mary Dillon, Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Bird entertained at dinner Thursday, the chiefs in attendance at the Pocahontas meeting. Miss Maud De Vore, of Eaton, Ohio, Miss Ethel Thomas and Messrs. W. F. Ridpath, Qf Connersville,, and N. W. Vawter, of Brookville, composed a dinner party at the Vinton, Tuesday evening. J. B. Elster, of Indianapolis, spent Wednesday in Cambridge City. The windows at the Calloway Dry Goods House, present quite a patriotic appearance, with their decorations of the American flags, both large and small, and the pennants, with blue and purple fields, on which appears the picture of the Cambridge City school building.

Mrs. Clifford Fouts was hostess to the .two o'clock club Thursday afternoon, Miss Cora Castor and Mrs. Charles Williams were guests of the club, Mrs. Evert Root, is spending the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Strickler. Mr. and Mrs. William Sherry visited their daughter, Mrs. Frank Bowman, at Indianapolis. Wednesday. Mrs. Ora Wheeler entertained the Five Hundred club at her home on Plum street. Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. James Scott of C linton, III., Mrs. Will Toeter and Mrs. Joseph Teeter were guests of the club. Mrs. Karl Frits of Newcastle spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Frits. Michael Conniff, L. M. Pierce and Will Porter were at Indianapolis Wednesday. . Clayton Hathaway of Richmond spent Thursday with his sister, Mrs. Roe Wlmraer.
