Mrs. Amanda Needham entertained as her guest, her granddaughter, Miss Rosella Matthews of Centerville, and ' her guests, the Misses Mary and Helen Hall, of Geneva. The Misses Hall were her nieces and the daughters of the late Mrs. Mary Cluson. Mrs. John Ball, of Richmond, was the guest of Mr. ahd Mrs. Benton Wagner and other friends here, Sunday. Mrs. Lafe Rayle and Miss Amelia Khauf left Monday for Indianapolis to attend the Rebekah Assembly. Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Thomas, of Centerville and Richmond were recent , guests of Mrs. Mary Noll. A very large audience attended the annual commencement of the Posey township schools at the township hall, in Bentonville, Friday night. The exercises are highly commended and especially the Class Address by Mrs. Boucher. The Rev. Mr. Allen, of Indianapolis has accepted a call to serve the Christian church 'at Bentonville. He filled ing. Mrs. Freeman, mother of Charles Freeman, whose home burned a few days ago, at Bentonville, has gone to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stnalley, near Straughn. Mrs. Freeman is paralyzed and she was taken in an auto. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Freeman are living in the schoolhouse. Their friends gave' them a canned fruit shower, a few days ago which they greatly appreciated. Mr., and Mrs. Elwood Hussey and Mrs. Ina Manlove have been entertaining as their guest, Miss Anna Gillespie, a iormer teacner m tne Hussey neighborhood. r MlssPearl, Thornburg who was bitten by a dog a few days age, is getting alongwery well. Morton Hodson, who was one time pastor of the Sugar Grove church and recently killed in an automobile accident In Ohio. Decoration day will be observed here Saturday, June 1. Rev. Zerbe of Williamsburg will deliver the address. The soldiers and Odd Fellows will decorate jointly. Jacksonburg band has been engaged for the occasion and an invitation is extended to all. Dr. Ehle and Miss Burges accompanied Miss ' Emma Crabb to Spiceland sanitarium Saturday where she will be heated for rheumatism. Miss Burges will remain with Miss Crabb while at the sanitarium. Mr. Fisher and family of Geneva, Ind., visited his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Prather recently. Martin N. Brouse attended the funeral of his father at Eaton, phio, Sunday. George Pulse has returned home much improved, after spending several weeks with his relatives in Ohio. George Neff made a business trip to Alexandria, Ind., last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lot Martin spent Saturday and Sunday with their daughter, Mrs. Albert Garver south of Milton.
