ATHLETIG ARNIVAL Is Being Considered by Local High School.
Plans are being made by the different classes of the high school and the faculty managers, for an athletic festival to be held some time the latter part of this month, probably May 29. A mass meeting of all boys was held yesterday noon in the chapel, and the project Was discussed by the different managers. Mr. Torrence, manager of the senior class, Issued his defi stating that he considered himself to be the best athlete of the High school faculty. It is thought that Prof. Neff, principal, will take up the challenge and enter into some sqrt of athletic contest with Prof. 'Torrence at "this meet. Mr. Neil stated that he is not certain yet as to just what sort of event this will be, but it promises to be both "interesting and Instructive." Members of the classes were already at practice . last night at the playgrounds and the contest will probably be a close one, although the Seniors seem to have a noticeable advantage in good all around track men. MOOSE PLANNING TO PURCHASE A HOME "With thirty-one members initiated last evening the Loyar Order of Moose in this city now has a membership of 600. The Moose lodge was installed in Richmond about two years ago and has had a larger growth than any other lodge within that time, it is said. A plan was launched last evening for the purchase of a site for a home for the lodge and this plan is to be pushed until It materializes. The lodge desires to secure a location In the downtown district if possible and to erect a suitable home of its own. POSTPONEMENT IN LIQUOR CONTEST .The plaintiff in the appeal case of Roy H.
