THE GARDEN. Rake, rake, rake. In my old back yard, Oh Gee! Till it seems that my back will break, And the neighbors look on with glee. Rake, rake, rake, Where the tin cans of yesterday Lie thick on the garden plotAnd the ashes blow every vYRake, rake, rake, And spade and harrow and hoe, When I know down in my heart That the garden will never grow. A guest evening marks the close of each year's work of the Tuesday club of New Paris and this function is always looked forward to by the members and their families as an enjoyable occasion. This year the spacious and lovely home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Reid housed the club members and guests in one of the most successful and pleasant events in the history of the club. The house was crowded and the program was one of the very best ever offered by the club, consisting of several beautiful musical numbers and an interesting travel talk by three of Richmond's most talented people, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Reynolds and Mrs. Mills. Mr. Reynolds is a violinist of no mean repute, while Mrs. Mills, who was at the piano is an accompanist of much talent. The musical numbers were highly appreciated. Mrs. Reynolds gave a most interesting and instructive travel talk which was replete with the personal element and dealt with countries of which the club had studied. Her talk -was a splendid treat. A social hour marked the conclusion of the program. Light refreshments were served. Buckeye! bearing the date, 1912, in gilt letters, and pendant from small -ribbon bows of the club colors, were souvenirs. This popular and successful club never appeared to better advantage, and it enters upon its summer vacation with the best wishes of all. MINSTREL SHOW.
