Samuel Shelton, of Springfield, Ohio, is spending some time with his sister, Mrs. H. Bryan. Miss Cariyle Diffenderfer went to Indianapolis yesterday (Friday) to spjd Sunday with the Misses Julia Boyd and Helen Doney. Five candidates will be initiated into the Rebekah Lodge next Monday evening. The Germantown teamhas been Invited to do the work. Miss Evelyn Barnett will spend Sunday with her grandparents, Mr. and !Mrs. Charles Jones, of Indianapolis. Mrs. T. L. McConaha, of Hagerstown is visiting in the, home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith. T. H. Feet was in Richmond Thursday. The Friday Night Club met Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shidler. Miss Hazel Dennis read a paper, "Romance of the Blue Grass Region, bringing many facts in regard to James Lane Allen; Mrs. Lee Ault discussed the subject, "South American Cities." Mrs. C. H. Loeb will in a short time move her residence on East Main, back to the center of the lot. The thirty-seventh annual commencement of the Dublin high school will be held in the Friends church, of that place, Friday evening, April nineteenth, Rev. L. E. Brown, of Lebanon, will deliver the address. Runge's orchestra, of Richmond, will furnish the music. Rev. Arthur Cates of the Grace M. E. church of Richmond, will preach the baccalaureate sermon at (the Friends' church tomorrow (Sunday.) The following young people compose the class: Elva Wiker, Charles land Harry Scott, Don Sutton and Ma;rle Harmeier. The concert given Thursday evening ty the choir of the Methodist church jwas an entertainment- which pleased jail who heard it.- Miss Helen Barnard as cornet soloist, prove herself an aritlst with that instrument, Miss Anabel Clifford of Dublin, in her readings, won her hearers at once, "The Rail Crossing," making a special hit. Miss Blanche Boyd, whose voice does not need comment, sang in her usual pleasing manner, while the organ number by Miss Gaynell Hageman and Edwin Calloway were skillfully rendered, and the numbers by the choir showed the careful training by the director, M. H. Gaar, and painstaking effort of each individual member. H. LI. Clements, the talented young violinist at Richmood, accompanied by Miss Marlatt, of the same city, won all with his playing receiving a number of encores. MILTON, IND. MILTON, Ind., April 13. Miss Edna Shepard was at Cambridge City, yesterday. Miss Shepard is the nurse for George Baker, who has the measles. He is reported better. Mrs. Anna M. Rothermel, who has ben visiting relatives and friends at Cambridge City, returned home, yesterday. J. C. Dodson, of Cambridge City, was in town on legal business yesterday. Lafe Cross is trying each day, now to walk, out some. He was down in town yesterday. Dr. Charles Roark was at Richmond yesterday to close the deal for the property he recently purchased of Mrs. Ellen Dowhower Hart, Mrs. Mary Noll returned yesterday from CohynbuB, Ohio, where she spent the winter with her neces, Mrs. Nellie Woodcock and Miss Bertie Neff and other relatives. Jas. Baldwin, who is an employe of the , Lake Erie and Western railway company, is home to visit his mother, Mrs. Nancy Baldwin. Mrs. Keller, of Bentonville, enroute to Connersville to visit relatives was the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Jesse Moore and family, yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Griff Cooney had as their guests, yesterday, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Cooney and sister, Miss Marie Cooney, of Richmond. Frank Ogborn, of Cambridge City, was in town on business yesterday. Mrs. Ina Swope spent Wednesday in the country with her mother, Mrs. Susan E. Wilson. Mrs. McClure, who spent several weeks with her sister, Mrs. Vene Beeeon, returned to Connersville. Wilbur Doddridge and daughter, Miss Nora, of Doddridge, were greeting friends here yesterday. Farmers are very busy plowing. Everyone is making hay while the sun shines. Sunday services at the M. Word has been received that Mrs. Park Lantz is slightly improved. The special nurse has been dismissed and only the hospital nurse now in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Doty and Chas. Clallaway, from Milton, attended the M. E. choir concert at Cambridge City, Thursday evening. Mrs. Jesse Fulghum, of Richmond, is spending a few days with her sister. Miss Sarah Roberts.

The Two O'Clock Embroidery club was delightfully entertained Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Otho Williams. Mrs. Martha Bunnel was the guest of honor. A buffet luncheon was served in the dining room. Mrs. Raymond Fleetemeyer will be the next hostess. Miss Nellie Brant and Miss Elma Kerr went to Indianapolis yesterday where they will attend Mrs Blaker's Training School for Young Ladies. Miss Brant will take a course in primary study. The Christian, Endeavor society will be led Sunday evening by Mahlon Gepphart. The topic is "Enriching the Sabbath. James Knapp spent Friday at Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Locke spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Locke. Mr. and Mrs. John Teetor entertained Miss Pearl Thornburg of Milton; Mr. Ralph Teetor, Miss Nellie Brant, and Mr. George Keagy, at lunch Thursday evening, following the band concert. Mrs. Theo Sells and daughter, Thelma, were guests Friday evening at supper, of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Fox. H. C. Knode spent Friday -at his farms north of town.
