ECONOMY, INP. ECONOMY. Ind.. March 27. The funeral of Ihr. J. B. Clark held Sunday afternoon, was a large one. He watt one of the "moat popular men in this part of the state. People from Indianapolis, Richmond, Muncie and Winchester, besides the smaller towns were at the funeral which was conducted by Rev. G. W. Martin and Prof. David Dennis, of Earlham. Rev. Hannah Stanley attended the Christian church quarterly conference Sunday, which was held at Muncie. Mrs. Edna Replogle and .children. Charles and Ruth, spent Sunday with Richmond relatives. W. A. Coates and Frank Swain were at Losantville Saturday. Oliver Hlatt was at Whitewater last Saturday. Not much visiting Sunday owing to the fierce blizzard that raged all. day. The Gossip club will install a few men members at their next meeting. Farmers are going to be late in getting their oats sowed this year. Last year most of the oats were sowed by this time. Rev. Oliver Frazer has returned from Iowa, where he was called by the death of his mother. Mrs. Alice Fraiser spent a few days in Richmond last week. ''Lasses makin' " has been brought to a standstill on account of the bad weather. Frank Gibson made a trip over to Williamsburg today. The Sunday schools did not draw a very big attendance Sunday owing to the bad weather conditions. Ora and Charles Edwards have their room fixed up in the Frank Pierce building, for an Ice cream parlor, which will be opened April first. "Drummers" are infecting the town and displaying their lines of spring goods. Several of Economy's "sports" who were In Richmond recently, came near getting into serious trouble. Dick Haxton spent Sunday here with his family. Mrs. Emma Hlatt was in Richmond Saturday.
