PIDY ELECTI0I1 ' BEIUG HELD TODAY Republicans in 7th District Will Choose Between Taft and Roosevelt.
(Palladium Special) INDIANAPOLIS. March 15. The Republican primaries for the Seventh District are being held in Indianapolis today and the Roosevelt managers are bending every energy to force fair treatment from the district organization which is favorable to Taft. Marion county comprises the Seventh District whtcn practically makes the county central comittee supreme. Chairman Harry R. Wallace has named city employees as inspectors and judges In a number of the wards and has selected anti-Roosevelt men In all the other wards and townships. He has located the voting places at the most inaccessible points and has otherwise taken every possible advantage which his office brings within his reach. State Senator Charles O. Iloemler, head of the local Roosevelt machine has perfected an excellent organization throughout the county and a strong fight is being made nuder hia direction to overcome the handicap put on Roosevelt Republicans by the machine. The men who have been placed on the Roosevelt slates for delegates to the district convention are representative of the best element of the party men who do not ordinarily take part in primaries but who have been aroused by the unfair methods employed by the machine to prevent Roosevelt men from winning. The Seventh District convention will be held tomorrow afternoon for the election of two delegates to the National Convention at Chicago. The opposing candidates are Mayor Lew Shank and W. K. English for Taft and Linton A. Cox and S. D. Pierson for Roosevelt.
ENTHUSIA8M 8HOWN. INDIANAPOLIS, March 15. The spontaneous outpouring of Republicans to hear Former Senator Albert J. Beveridge's speech in behalf of Roosevelt. Wednesday night, is regarded by the state Roosevelt managers as sufficient proof that the people tire genuinely interested in obtaining the nomination of Col. Roosevelt. The contrast between the immense, enthusiastic audience that greeted Roosevelt's friend, and the meagre formal audience to which Taft's secretary of Commerce and Labor spoke two nights before in the same hall, has set even the Taft Club's officers to wondering whether after all there is not something in the claim that Roosevelt sentiment is overwhelming. Tomllnson Hall, the largest auditorium in Indianapolis, has sheltered few such large crowds as the Roosevelt meeting attracted. Men stood up during the two hour speech by Senator Bereridge, being unable to obtain eats, yet anxious to hear and to ap-

plaud every word in praise of their chosen national leader. The real significance of the large crowd is realized when it is recalled that there was absolutely no organized effort to produce an audience the mere announcement in the newspapers that the meeting was to be held being sufficient.
Rehearsals for the minstrel, show, which is to be given under toe auspices of the Young Men's Christian Association at the high school auditorium. March 22, shows that the principals are rapidly becoming acquainted with their respective parts and there is little doubt but that the show will be one of the best ever put on by amateurs in this city. Benton Barlow, who is acting as coach and also as joint business manager with Herbert S. Weed, of the Y. M. C. A., will be conspicious in the minstrels, as will Snaveley. Barlow and Snaveley are end-men-extraordinary and in addition to the part they will take in the regular show they will present another specialty. Other end men or "mirth producers" are Ryan and Turner. Howard Messick will act as interlocutor. Solos will be given by Taylor and Price and George Hodge. A tumbling act will be given by Kaucbins and Ashinger. Following this a "Night with the Poets" act will be presented by Howard Messick and a quartet. The grand finale will be the "Band Rehearsal." The proceeds are to go to the Y. M. C. A.

During the last few years, conditions in all lines of business, even professional life, have changed so completely that every man is waking up to the fact that in order to win success he must specialize and learn to do some one thing and do it well. So it is with any article that is sold to the people. It must have genuine merit or no amount of advertising will maintain the demand for the article. For many years we have watched with much interest the remarkable record maintained by Dr. Kilmer's Swanip-Root,f the great Kidney, Liver and Bladder Remedy. From the very beginning the proprietors had so much confidence in it that they invited every one to test it, free of cost, before purchasing. It is a physician's prescription. ' They have on file thousands of letters received from former sufferers who are now enjoying good health as a result of its use. However, if you wish first to try a sample bottle, address Dr. Kilmer & Co., Binghamton, X. Y., and mention this paper. They will gladly forward you a sample bottle by mail, absolutely free. Regular sizes for sale at all druggists fifty-cents and one-dollar.
