SLOW PROGRESS III THE Mi TRIAL George Holman Testifies Price Returned to Eaton Very Drunk.
(Palladium Special) EATON. O., Dec. 13. Only a small portion of the evidence tn the case of the state against Charles E. Price, charged with second degree murder, was heard Tuesday and nothing of Importance has been brought out. The entire day was spent in an examination of George Holman, of this rlty, and Richard Quick, a farm hand in the employ of Price at the time of the 'crime. Price and Quick had gone to 'Richmond together, but returned at different timeB, and the details of the case transpiring in Eaton are little 'known by Quick. It was established by him, however, that the axe handle ;Wlth which Price slew Andrew F. AvWy, a truck gardner, had been purchased In Richmond. Holman was on the car upon which Price returned to Eaton. Price was quarrelsome and endeavored to start trouble with Holman over the sale of a cream separator. Price was intoxicated and was evaded 'by Holman. It is said thai Price made threats against Holman, and at the time of the crime it was believed that Price had made a mistake when he assailed Avery, thinking it was Holman. Since then this theory has not been given much credence. At the rate with which the case has -been carried on thus far, the nnal outcome will not be known for several days, in view of the fact that about seventy witnesses have been subpoetaaed. -HAS BEEN AN EDITOR FIFTY YEARS (National News Association) ST. BABY VERY BADLY INJURED WALKING While practicing walking, Orvtlle Robert Godsey, the nine months old son of Robert Godsey and wife, 1132 North I street, pulled a cup of hot cocoa on himself Monday evening about 5:30 o'clock. The child is just beginning to walk and in pacing back and forward between his father and mother, lost his balance and fell, grab

The term refers to the form and style, not the sex. An examination of any kind of coffee will show that about one kernel in every twenty-five Is quite round, like a bean, while all the others are flat on one side, like the half of a split bean. These round or male berries are always found on the young, vigorous, new wood of the previous year's growth at the end of the branches. The old wood produces flat berries only. Each "pod" or fruit of the coffee tree contains either two common flat berries or but one round one. The substance of the fruit in the one case all goes into the single male berry, and in the other it is divided among two flat ones. This undoubtedly accounts for the greater strength and richness of the male berry. In private plantations, where the trees are carefully pruned and cared for and the ground well cultivated and fertilized, the coffee Is always of finer quality and the proportion of male berries Is larger. The round berries may be seen In all kinds of coffee. Rio. Ceylon. Maracaibo. Mocha and other varieties contain them as -well as the Java. Exchange. At Brower's It's sufficient to say that we are offering the greatest bargains in Millinery, especially As These at $16.00 at at 13.50 6.50 Sixth & Main Sts.

Edgar Bond, secretary of the. ; county society, warns local buyer to watch for instructions from the post !. office concerning use of the seals. Dr. Bond says the recent suspension ot , the order prohibiting the use ot the stamps on front of letters, has been a great aid in selling seals, for now people may put the stamps any place on envelopes with impunity.
