GOVERNOR GENERAL TO MAKEJDORESS At Opening of Canadian Parliament Wednesday Expect New Policies. (National Newa Association) OTTAWA, Ont., Nov. 14. The opening of the Parliament, tomorrow, with a Conservative majority in command and the probability of a change in the Dominion's attitude on several political issues has focused interest on the inaugural speech of His Royal Highness, the Duke of Connaught. the new Governor-General. It is bHieved his speech will in a great measure, forecast the attitude of England upon Canada's trade relations with the United States, the navy question and the tariff agitations set afoot last spring at the meeting of dependency Prime Ministers In London, preceding the Coronation. The coming meeting of the Dominion's legislative body is unique by reason of the defeat of Laurier and the Liberals on the reciprocity agreement, the control of the country's policies by the Conservatives, and the appointment of the Duke of Connaught to the Kst of Governor-General, succeeding former Governor-General Earl Grey. Many politicians claim that a practical revolution in the administration's policy of the Dominion on vital questions will result. Navy It Attacked. Reciprocity was killed, of course, by the overwhelming vote that placed the Conservatives in power, but financial Interests are eagerly awaiting a pronouncement of the government's attitude towards the United States. The French Canadian Nationalists also express confidence that Mr. Borden's government will repeal the Laurier government's naval bill and submit the whole question to a plebosoite. They claim such a course will mean the wiping out of Canada's navy.

Parliament will meet tomorrow at three o'clock, when the Governor-General, the Duke of Connaught, will be escorted to the legislative building by his military guard and deliver his message from the throne. Robert U. Borden, as Prime Minister, will have a place at the right hand of the Duke during the ceremonies.
The Theaters
At The Murray. A typical vaudeville entertainment is that at the Murray this week. With one exception the sort you expect for ten cents. The exception is the banjoist, E. J. Appleby, who handles his instrument expertly, and also artistically, although the latter is a wort working overtime. In this instance, however, it is used advisedly for Mr. Appleby plays excerpts from the operas with as much eclat as the more popular music apd one or two familiar plantation airs. In a "musical comedy skit," called "Detained at the Office" Leon and Bertie Allen display more talents as comedians than as musicians although the masculine member of the company has a voice of agreeable quality. His song about showing respect to the greyhaired man because sometime you too will be old was received with .great applause. It is nice to know that the boy was later adopted by the greyhaired man who was rich beyond the dreams of avarice. Good manners, thus, have their own reward.
If "comedy" was divorced from "farce" in a sketch "The New Pupil,"
and farce left to stand alone, you would have it. As straight farce It is not so bad and one of the cast of three possesses undeniable gifts as a comedian. The best story, however, was told by the moving pictures. E. G. W.
