Bowmaster spent the day in Indianapolis. The funeral of Mrs. Mary Scott, who died last Thursday evening, following a stroke of appoplexy, was held Sunday afternoon at the home on East Main street, Rev. Foster, of Milroy, having charge of the service. Interment at Germantown. Mrs. Scott was sixty-seven years of age, and was born and reared in New Castle. She was married to Ellas Scott, of Jacksonburg, in 1862, and had resided in Wayne county since that time, coming to Cambridge City for a residence after the death of her husband, a few years ago. Eight children, Mrs. Addie Savage of Centerville, James M. Scott, Jacksonburg, R. L. Scott, of this city, Mrs. Kate Burroughs, of Jacksonburg, Will Scott of Milton, Fred Scott residing on the old home place, John Scott, north of this city, and. Frank Scott, of Hagerstown. There are fourteen grandchildren and one great garndchild, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Wright of this city. The Presbyterian Guild will meet Wednesday afternoon, at the home of Mrs. George Stonebaugh. Mrs. Jessie Benson has returned to Indianapolis, after a visit with Cam bridge City relatives.. Mrs. W. D. Williams, of Richmond, spent Sunday afternoon with friends in this city. The funeral of Mrs. John E. Gray will be held in the Methodist church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Knauer will begin a series of meetings in the Christian church, Oc tober 22. An effort is being made to secure the services of Mrs. O. M. Randall, a singer from Dayton, to assist in the services. He goes abroad to do some studying and investigating to better equip himself for successful social and religious work. Their itenary includes a four months stay at the University of Edinburg, Scotland, and an extended Meditteranean trip, including special study of the Holy Land and an investigation of social conditions and investigations upon the continent of Europe.
