ceeded in calming the youth's emotions and elicited information as to Where his mamma lived. He ascertained that Vess lived at West Fifth and Linden avenue. Yess said that he had been walking around the city since 7 o'clock in the morning and had loHt his way and could Hot find out what direction he should take to go home. The youth told the superintendent that his parents had Just moved to this city from Kingston County, Kentucky, and that he had not become used to the winding streets of the city, bavins lived most of his life among the mountains and the blue grass. Supt. Gormon placed the young man on a street car and told him in which direction he should walk after getting off the car.

IKising a committee representing the Commercial Club and the officials of the Terre Haute, Indianapolis and Eastern traction company at Indianapolis yesterday it was decided that John J. Appel, vice president of the company should come to Richmond some time this week, and personally arrange for the work on National avenue. The traction officials promised that a large corps of men would be employed in the work of laying the track in the middle of National avenue and that the work would be rushed forward to completion. ised to do everything in their power to remedy existing conditions in this vicinity. The 'Commercial Club committee also secured the signatures of the officials to the agreement drawn up by the club and which was signed by the county commissioners recently. The traction company will give $750 which will be appropriated for the construction of wing-walls and retaining walls for bridges and tracks and for the purchase of the ground for the new right of way, which will be owned by the county, but will be given to the company for its exclusive use. Monday morning County Bridge Engineer John Mueller will submit his report on the damage done to the Main street bridge by the traction company. The report will be submitted at the sessions of the board of public works as well as the county commissioners.

Dr. Homer Webster, house surgeon in i a Chicago hospital, are seeking her to-' day. Mrs. Webster has been missing for three weeks. She is 20 years old ! and has been married 16 months. In August Webster brought suit for divorce, but lost his case. j Three weeks ago Mrs. Webster left the home of her mother, Mrs. Agnes
Kent, to meet her husband. Since then j
she has not been seen. Police were notified and Mrs. Kent with Police Capt. Baier questioned Webster as to the girl's whereabouts. He could give no clue. The- police are seeking her.

plan of the Metropolitan Life Insurance company to furnish a visiting nurse to all of its industrial policy hol-Jers when ill and one of the nurses has agreed to take up the work. As many of this class of policy holders are in financial difficulties, particularly when ill, the nurses' association will appeal to the public for subscriptions with which to purchase necessities such as food, disinfectants, linens, food, etc.
