Ohio, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Gergan. On last Saturday afternoon as Mrs. John Poppoon and daughter Vera, of near Lewisville, were driving west on Main street, a tap that was holding the wheel on, slipped off letting the buggy down on one side. The horse
became frightened, running two blocks before Mrs. Poppoon could control it. By Mrs. Poppoon's presence
of mind she and her daughter were un-
nurt, but the horse kicked itself in such a way as to tear the ligaments
loose in one foot, making it unfit for
future use. It was only four years old and valued at two hundred dollars, so

The Cambridge City Telephone company has been busy the past week connecting their lines between north
and south Cambridge. A large galvanized iron pipe twelve inrhpRt In
diameter, reaching entirely through was buried in the twenty-seven foot high embankment which was recently constructed by the Pennsylvania railroad. Through this pipe by means of ralge ropes, the four heavy cables were drawn. These cables contain
two hundred pairs of wires, and then
were connected on the north side of the embankment. This required perseverance and skill on the part of the workmen. The. company is to be congratulated, since what seemed at first to be so troublesome a proposition has been so satisfactorily adjustedMrs. K. P.
