McGann says there will be no Take knock-outs and if there are any punchout blows landed the followers of this sport may feel sure that they are the real article.. promises to secure some well-known scrappers to appear before the Richmond boxing public. TAKES A VACATION Lorimer Probers Will Meet Again in October. WASHINGTON, Aug. 9. The Lorimer investigation committee adjourned today to meet in Chicago in October, after the further cross examination of Legislator Holstlaw brought out the statement that legislator John Broderick told Hinshaw the night before Lorimer was elected that Lorimer would get a majority on the next day and that there was $2500. for Holstlaw if he would vote that way. Holstlaw said he intended voting for Lorimer before the money was mentioned. GATES TO BE BURIED IN ST CHARLES, ILL. (National News Association) NEW YORK, Aug. 9. A private ca ble from Paris today stated that the funeral services lor the late John W. Gates would be held in Paris on Saturday and that Mrs. Gates and her son Charles will sail for New York on Wednesday next. Preparations for the funeral of John W. Gates, the American millionaire, who died at the Hotel Meurice at 5:10 this morning after a long and heroic battle for life, were begun a few hours after death. It was stated by the fam ily that the body would probably be shipped to the United States to be buried beside that of his mother in the family plot at St. Charles, 111. Mrs. Gates was prostrated with grief today over the death of her hus band. She had kept a night long vigil at his bedside, never leaving it after the relapse which occurred lare yesterday. The funeral arrangements were in charge of her son, Charles W. Gates. GIRL ASSAULTERS NOW LIVE IN PRISON National News Association) TERRE HAUTE, Aug. 9. (National News Association) New York, Aug. 9. Post office Inspectors today arrested George H. Love, president of the Sun Electric Generator Company and Elmer Burlingame, selling agent for the company. They are charged with m having used the mails to defraud. Post office Inspector Birdseye, charges that the company's stock is practically worthless and that frauds amounting to one million dollars have been perept rated by the men under arrest. Love is the inventor of a device which is supposed to generate electricity from the
rays of the sun. Burlingame is also said to be the head of a group of wireless telephone companies which are capitalized at one million dollars. Disselkoen of Connersville were made by Attorney Perry Freeman, of this city, before Judge Gray of the Lafayette circuit court but without results. Frank B.
