Frank Barton and little daughter, of Chicago, spent Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Barton at the home of his uncle, R. F. Callaway. Isaiah Doddridge of Doddridge, had two horses killed by lightning, Saturday afternoon during a thunder storm. The horses .stood In adjoining stalls in the barn which was struck. The bolt went down through the center of the barn. Another horse -waa knocked over but not seriously injured. Telephones in the Doddridge neighborhood were many of them burned out' Mrs. Robert Cornth watte waa taken to Reld's hospital, Sunday to undergo an operation for a gathering on her jaw. L. D. Roark and Miss Ruth Leverton, of Milton, who are also In the hospital, are reported as getting along well. The Misses Vivian Bennett. ECONOMY, JND. ECONOMY, Ind., Aug. 8. Miss Olive Belle Picelle left for Cleveland, Ohio, Monday morning, after having spent several weeks here with her sister, Mrs. Grace Hunt. Miss Picelle was in the Lake Side hospital at Cleveland for over three months, after undersoing an operation, and after leaving the hospital came here to regain her health. She will remain in Cleveland only a short time. She will go to New York where she will attend the early fall millinery opening, then back to Alliance, Ohio, where she will be head trimmer in one of the big millinery stores. She is considered one of the best trimmers in eastern Ohio, else she would not receive $25 per week for such work. The U. B. Sunday school of Sugar Grove picnicked at Pierce's Lake to the number of 81. Mr. and Mrs. George Hill of Sugar Grove are visiting Lynn relatives. Rev.
