The program for the coming winter is most pleasing and offers sufficient variety of subjects to please the most critical. Mrs. Ray Hendricks and daughter, Lauretta, have returned after a visit with relatives in Cincinnati. Letters received by Dr. H. B. Boyd and family, indicate that Mrs. Boyd, who has been quite sick at Matson, Mo., is improving. The Misses Ethelyn and Ruth Barnett took part In a recital given this afternoon by the pupils of Mrs. Palmer, of Germantown. James Barnett and Henry Kocher were in Germantown yesterday. Sherman Werking, who is an employe at the National Drill works in Cambridge City, but which has been shut down for a few weeks, is putting in his time at the Milton buggy factory. Olin Davis entertained as his guest at dinner Monday, Harold McDaniel. The occasion was Olin's twelfth birthday. Mrs. Carrie Six of Indianapolis, is spending a few days with her parents and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilkinson and Miss Wilkinson, on Mr. Lindsay's farm, south of town. Mrs. Jennie Summers, who has been several weeks at her sister's, Mrs. Cannsdy, in Anderson, came home Monday afternoon. Elmer Weaver is shipping cherries to Cincinnati. He has a large number of trees and they are all quite full. A part of the street carnival was in Milton yesterday, in the way of a five legged horse. The animal was exhibited in a tent on Main street. Mrs. B. H. Hiner and son, Ralph, and daughter Miss Helen, are here from Franklin, W. Va., to be the guest of Mrs. Hiner's brother, Tyree M. McClung and family. She came to attend the wedding of her niece, Miss Lois McClung. Earl Atkinson and mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Atkinson, went to South Bend, today to be the guests of the brother and son and family, Charles Atkinson, formerly of Richmond. The Standard Bearers of the M. E. church at this place, will have an ice cream social on the lawn just north of L. F. Lantz's dry goods store Friday evening. Everybody is invited. Master Olin Davis of Milton, was the recipient of a fine present Monday on the occasion of his birthday. He was presented with a certilcate of one share in the Drovers' Stock Yard company at Columbus, O., by his grandmother, Mrs. Emily Williams, Olin gTeatly appreciates the gift. The Christian Sunday school had an offering of $51 at their childrens day service Sunday night The money goes to missions. The Doddridge Chapel Sunday school in the eastern part of the township observed children's day with a pretty program composed of music, responsive readings and recitations. These were all well rendered and formed a pleasing entertainment highly appreciated by the large audience in attendance. An offering was taken for the educational fund of the M. E. church.

Mr. Ellas Atkinson who has been In Richmond looking after the Interests of his property was home Sunday. The Steddom boys of Richmond are completing the work in Claude Keever's new home. Mary Purviance, the little three-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Purviance, met with an accident at the Red Men's picnic last Sunday which came very near resulting seriously. The young folks were swinging in a large rope swing and little Mry ran back of the swing just in time to be struck, knocking her unconscious. She was picked up and after being worked with for quite a while she regained consciousness. Mrs. Claude KeeVer and little Deb orah, are spending a few days at Muncie with relatives. Mr. Howard Thomas left today for Richmond, where he has accepted a position in Hutton's coffin factory. The K. of P. decoration will be held nere Sunday, June is. Tne exercises which begin at 1:30 p. m. will be held in the K. of P. hall. The speakers for the afternoon are Charles Jordan and W. A. Brown, both of Richmond. A good program has been arranged. The bride was attired in a beautiful cham pagne silk, and the groom black broadcloth. The parlor waa tastefully decorated in field daisies. After the ceremony the guests left for the beautiful country home of Mr. and Mra. Albert Swain south of town, where a four course wedding dinner waa served.
