The worst kind of toil which house work has in the past demanded is dish washing and laundry work. Con scientious housewives made their work a real burden by constant scrubbing, while the indifferent kind sacrificed their families on the altar of cheap soaps reeking with rosin, alkalies and unpleasant smelling fats. The constantly-increasing army of users of Hewitt's Easy Task soap find their labors divided in two and their hours of recreation doubled. And, even more important, every item of household washing shows an improvement which would make the most exacting rejoice. The Blue and the Gray fought over their old battles at the Gennett theater last night when the Mas Lean Stock company played that sterling war drama "Marching Through Geor-J gia." All present had a chance to smell powder and many a grizzled veteran took a deep breath again as the familiar odor reached his nostrils. There were Rebs and Yankees, colored Mammies and charming southern beaut ies and above all pretty Nana Bryant as Bweet and charming as ever. The Mac Leans give up the theater tonight to the G. A. It. for their camp fire, but tomorrow they wilj repeat Marching Through Georgia for both the matinee and night. The old Sol dier are all invited to see the Mac Leans at half price during the encampment. MURRAY As an international producer, B. A. Rolfe has gained a great reputation, but the top notcher of all his musical comedy playleets is without doubt "The Leading Lady" which has been accorded the title of the best miniature comedy in vaudeville today. This is due in part to the merit of the play itself and is also due in a great measure to the ability of the leading members of the very capable cast provided for its interpretation. The principal roles are entrusted to Miss Marcedes Loren,z, a pretty soubrette,- and Mr. Ralph Lynn, a clever English comedian, asisted by Ed Coleman. Don't fail to see this big production at the Murray this week. Another big feature of the bill is Duffy and Sawtelle who surely deserve all the honors given them. They are entertainers of the best order. Scintilla is a violinist who finds herself folself following closely on the heels of several of the noted violinists. On several occasions during the week she has been compelled to respond to an encore after the ringing down of the curtain. In honor of the G. A. R. encampment Manager Murray has secured a high class war film which is appreciated by all. POLISH from TARLAn Musical Revue 75, $1.00, $1.50
