" - George Pickering has returned from Greenfield, where he enjoyed a short visit with relatives and friends. BOSTON, IND. Boston, Ind., May 17. Mothers' Day was observed Sunday at the Christian church. The service was very Interesting and impressive. Rev. Hannah Stanley delivered the principal address. She was assisted by the Rev. Jones. Rev. Humble and Rev. Frankle Keys. The solos by Frankle Keys and Z. H. Stanley were well received. Mrs. Mary Rife wishes in this way to express her thanks to those who worked so faithfully to save her home from fire last Wednesday. She voices the sentiment from the entire town. But for the timely response and faithful work of the surrounding neighborhood, several other homes would now be in ashes. . The citizens of this town should organize some sort of fire protection and do so at once. We are entirely helpless In case of a fire.- This matter has been delayed too long. With the present arrangement, if a building once catches fire it is sure to be entirely destroyed. 3. C. Pyle is removing the rubbish from where hia house burned and whl begin building at once.
