PARTY AT MUNCIE Elaborate preparations have been made to make the Junior party, which will be given Friday evening in the University building, a most enjoyable affair. The party will be held in the corridor of the second floor and it has been beautifully decorated for the occasion. Many Japanese lanterns have been strung in an artistic manner, and will be the only means of illumination. Wild flowers and blooming branches are also used to advantage. Dancing

ELABORATE SOCIAL EVENT Perhaps the most elaborate social event of the spring season in the way of dances will be the large dancing party to be given this evening in the Pythian Temple by the members of the Phi Delta Kappa fraternity. The hall Is being beautifully decorated today. The decorations will Include flowers, ferns, palms and the fraternity colors red and black. The grand march will begin promptly at eightthirty o'clock. The chaperones for the party will be Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lichtenfels. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Parks and Mrs. Charles Kolp. FRATERNITY CONVENTION The Phi Delta Kappa fraternity has named June 28, 29 and 30 aa the date for its annual convention, and the members of the Lambida chapter of Peru will be hosts at the 1911 convention. The Alpha chapter, which is the Marion organization, were the founders of the organization, whihe has grown In a remarkable way. During the last year chapters have been installed at Cincinnati, Ohio, and Rushville, Indiana. As Is usual at the Phi Delta Kappa conventions, there will bo a spirited contest over the election of officers. Harvey Stewart was made national president at the last convention of the fraternity. He was then living In Falrmount, but now lives in Marion. He will probably not be In the race for re-election. Besides the business sessions, the social side of the conventions is an important featur. Already the Lambda chapter at Peru has been engaged In preparations for the entertainment of their guests. Various committees have been appointed and there will be a number of social affairs. The largest of these will be the annual convention dance. This Is to be given at the armory hall. This is an Immense hall and will better accommodate the large number of persons. There will be young people from all over the entire state. The chapters that will be represented at the convention are Beta, Columbus; Delta, Portland; Epsllon, Falrmount; Zeta, Bluff ton; Eta, Manual Training High School. Indianapolis; Theta, Muncie. Iota, Ft. Wayne; Kappa. Warren; Lambda, Peru: Alpha and Gamma, Marlon; Mu. Hartford City; Nu. Newcastle; XI, Huntington; Omricon, Goshen: Pi. Montpelior; Rho, Shortrldge High school, Indianapolis. MEETING POSTPONED. The social meeting of the Universal1st church mission circle has been postponed until the second Thursday In May. Mrs. Barr will be the hostess for this meeting.
