An accident occurred near Art Cain's home Sunday noon that might have ended seriously but opportunely no one was very badly hurt. While Mr. and Mrs. John Macy and Miss Ijoi Fleming were driving home from church they met Clifford Chamness on his way to town and Mr. Macy turned out to the right, so did Miss Fleming who was driving a horse behind the Macy's that is considered a goer, and it started to go around the Macy rig. when the left front wheel caught in the right hind wheel of the Macy buggy tearing it off, which caused it to upset and tearing the top to pieces. Miss Fleming was thrown from her buggy and alighted on her head which was slightly bruised by the. jolt. Tho horse Miss Fleming was driving found Itself free from the buggy and trotted at a rapid, gait home as If it was doing what it was required to do. The Odd Fellows gave a banquet at their hall here Saturday night. A large crowd was in attendance from other lodges. The commencement was all that any one could wish for. Perhaps the corps of teachers. Prof. Williams. Prof. Eugene Butler. Miss Effie Wilson and Miss Ixve Lindsay, could not have been excelled. It is said that music and drawing will be taught here next year In the schools. Miss Mabel Gwin of Anderson spent Sunday here with friends.
