Rheumatic
Poison Rheuma Drives It from the System and Cures Rheumatism. Ever since Leo 11. Fihe secured the privilege of handling Kheuma in Richmond, the sales have been very large. This is due to the fact that Rheuma really does cure Rheumatism and that it is guaranteed to cure Rheumatism or money back. It's a quick acting remedy, too. You don't have to wait a long while for results, for Kheuma starts at once to act on the kidneys, liver, bowels and blood and before 24 hours the poisonous I'ric Acid, which causes Rheumatism, has begun to pacs out of the body through the regular channels. One 50 cent bottle will prove to any Rheumatic sufferer that Rheuma surely will cure Rheumatism. For cpulckest relief from acute indigestion, try Knglish Marhue, 2 cents at Leo II. Fihe's. Mailed by Rheuma Co., Buffalo. X, Y. hud acted Improperly In a business ileal involving $12.-00. The result of thto d eihion was that Count vonder (Jolty, was deprived of certain privileges were Heir ton llethtnann-Holl-wig. cousin of the Imperial t'hancelh r, and Haion Komierovsky. Count von der (Ioitz challenged hoth of them to a duel. The military court of honor derided that, in npit' of the transaction in iptestion. Count von der (Joltz might le regarded as capable of affording sati.-fHction with arms In accordance with the current laws of chivalry in thin country. The duel between Herr lieiliniaiii'. llollweg and Count von der (Soitz took place on December 1? near lU rlin. li.iron Komierovsky refused to accept Count von der Goltz's challenge on the grounds that he would not be called to account in this way for doing his duty aa a member of the knighthood. He was thereupon denounced us a coward, and the case was referred to the Kaiser for decision, the military authorities demanding that Karon Komierovsky should he removed from his rank and position as an officer of the reserves. The Kaiser decided, however, that Duron Komierovsky had acted correctly, that he could not be compelled to fight a duel in such circumstances and that he must not be adjudged a coward. The Kaiser's decision has created intense dissatisfaction in many military circle;?, where the institution of quelling is upheld as a sacred relic of the past. To judge from the complaints one hears in (.lerman households, the servant girl of Ilerlin is as difficult a person to deal with as in America. She, like her mistress, is afflicted with that curse of modern society nerves, and has been known suddenly to quit her situation on the ground that her mistress's voice disagreeably affected them. She is no longer the simple country maid of pre-impet lal days, but fully determined to consult her own comfort at least as much as that of her employer's1. He (ore entering' a situation she is' particular to inquire on what story the flat lies, whether a car runs conveniently to it. and whether any of the children are less than three years old. When the country girl of old dropped her tray the value of the breakages was deducted from her wages and that was the end of it. Today the servant girl In such cir cumstances gets an attack of nerves, tne doctor has to be scut for, and the penalty is two or three reposeful days in bed. The reason of all this is that Iterlin is growing so rapidly that the demand for servant girls ls far greater tTfan the supply and a servant has no difficulty in getting a fresh situation. An International society of students has been formed in Ilerlin. The committee of management consists of an American as chairman and a Chinaman as vice chairman, with a German, a Russin, n Knglishman. a South African, and a Greek as members. The first meeting of the new society took place the other day when Professor Munsterburg of Harvard delivered an address. The aims of he society are chiefly three to increase the understanding by foreign students of German culture and by German students of foreign culture, to render more pleasant the stay of the foreign student in Berlin, ami to encourage the growth of friendly relations between students of various nationalities. The erection of a club house with library and reading room is planned, and there will he lectures, discussions, excursions, nd social meetings of an international character. "Great expectations" seem to be spreading epidemically as a disease in the Rhine region. A little time ago a couple of hundred people formed a company to follow up, as heirs, claims they imagine they can make out to the ten million sterling fortune of a Dutch general, Paul Wlrtz. The base of the society's operations

is Cologne, and now at FVankfurten the Main another company of claimants has developed with similar sinister intentions on a supposed fortune of $10,000,000 imagined to have been left by a peasant from the Taunua mountains named Johann Christophe Kilp. Kilp li said to hame emigrated to Holland aid there to have saved the life of a Dutch co'git who made him his heir as a token of gratitude.
That was a hundred years ago, and the ; accumulation of capital and interest since then has caused the inheritance to amount to the figures mentioned. The first meeting of claimant took place on February 12 in Kelkheim in the Taunus district, and two hundred! and fifty persons - appeared at it. A committee of seventeen was finally chosen, with Dr. Hosback, of Frankfurt as legal advisor. A t Local Theaters Russian Orchestra. The Russian Symphony Orchestra of which the gifted musician. Modest Altschulcr, is conductor, will be heard in this city on Friday evening at the' Gennett. This will mark the first appearance of this fine New York organization in our midst during the present season. From the indications the audience will not only be a large one but it will include the representatives of the community. Mr. J. K. Franc ke. of Xew York, who is the manager of the Russian Symphony Orchestra's transcontinental tour, eciids word from the east that his orchestra is achieving the greatest success of its existence. The last two Xew York concerts, given in Carnegie Hall, in that city, have seat a new mark in the matter of novelties presented on a single program. "At the last concert," writes Mr. Francke, " the enthusiasm was particularly gratifying. There can be no doubt that the Russian Symphony Orchestra is entitled to be ranked with the finest music bodies of its kind in America. I am confident that the program Mr. Altschuler is to provide for the citizens of your city will receive the cordial recognition desired. And remember that we shall have four distinguished soloists." Modest Altsculer is now working on the program he is to direct on his approaching tour and there is certain to be forthcoming many new orchestral compositions never before heard in this part of the country. It is probable that the Russian Symphony Orchestra concert will be the musical event of the year. The seats will be placed on sale tomorrow morning and judging from the orders already received it will be another case of Madame Sherry, selling out in the lineup. Stock at Gennett. The La Marr Holland Stock Company opened at the Gennett theater yesterday for a three days engagement. Miss Gertrude Holland has been spoken of as the most beautiful woman on the American stage. That may be saying a great deal but it is none the less true that she is possessed of a remarkable style and a beauty which is moBt attractive. With large dark eyes and abundance of glorious hair she is indeed worth seeing. The rest of the company were all good and the entire performance was a pleasant one. MM 0UT0F HOWIE Cot Trumbo, California, Refuses to Part with Any Famous Art Prizes. Saai Francisco, March 14. A scene ihat bordered on tragedy occurred at Sutter street, for years the home of Colonel Isaac Trumbo, a number of vears ago a millionaire. For a number of years Colonel Trumbo has been an occupant on sufferance of his old home, which passed to others is satisfaction of a debt originally 511.000, but on which no interest was paid since 1903. Yesterday he was compelled to move. Despite his poverty of years Colonel Trumbo has clung to nearly all of the paintings and tapestries which he gathered in prosperity. In the long salon of the main floor almost every inch of wall space was covered with paintings, the work of famous men. For many of them he paid from $5,000 to $18,000. Above stairs were bedrooms whose walls were covered in some Instances with tapestries of great worth. On the ceiling, painted on canvass, which it is hoped may bo successfully removed, were valuable frescoes. Only the furniture was taken away yesterday. The goods were carted to a downtown auction house. What disposition will be made of the pictures has not yet been determined, as their owner is no more inclined to sell them now than in the past. It is probable that they will be deposited, temporarily at least, in a down-town studio. Colonel Trumbo has for months lived in the house alone without even water or gas service. His few wants have been looked after by a negro body servant, Moses Collins, who has been in his service for 18 years, and a housekeeper, Nellie Sullivan, a white woman, an employee of tho Trumbo household for 12 years.
