ROAD OPENED AGAIN
Traffic Resumed on the C. &
O. R. R.
Traffic was resumed over the C. ft
O. railroad through Richmond yester
day afternoon. The wreckage of the
freight disaster near the Union pike
crossing, northwest of the city, was
removed and the road rebuilt in time to allow the Chicago train, due here
at 4:15 o'clock, but fifty minutes late
yesterday, to past over the tracks.
An investigation of the wreck has bden made by Assistant Trainmaster
E. B. Crawford, of Peru, and he will submit a report to the company. Further Investigation may be made by
other officials of the road. It Is high
ly probable that the disaster will be
Investigated by the Indiana railroad
commission.
No estimation of the property damage could be secured from' Richmond
officials.
