According to the affidavit which was drawn up by Fred Jurgenson, Frank and Park Glne an of whom were JntereHted In the meat firm, Oosselin absconded with $38.23 on January 30, 1909. The state's attorney stated Tuesday thst the total amount of his defalcation was more than alieped In the affidavit, according to Information which had been furnished him. Oosselin has a wife and three children. At the time of his disappearance, It was altered a woman floured in the rase. The charge of child de-rion pending against Roscoe nroadus. whs flit d rn May 9, 1909, and his wife, Maud Proadus, was the prosecuting witness. Rhe alleged that no provision for support had been made by her husband
prior to his leaving his family and that be had not furnished any up to the time of the filing the action. Little effort has been made to apprehend James Lee, who. on July 19. 1910, is alleged to have attacked Denton M. Woodward of Dublin in that place with a sharp Instrument. The charge against Lee Is assault and battery with intent to commit murder. Lee, it is understood is still in Indiana, only shaking the dust of Wayne county from his feet after the alleged assault. The nature of the weapon which was used Is not known to the authorities. Ira Lewis, formerly a merchant tailor In Richmond and associated with Teter Schattel in the business, who is alleged looted the cash drawer of the firm and bankrupted it, is wanted for wife desertion on an affidavit filed by his wife, Orlena Lewis on July 20, 1910.

Alpheus O. Morris of Knightstown has instituted suit in the circuit court to collect $700 alleged to be due by Foster J. Scudder. a resident of Wayne county. In the averments cf the complaint Morris states that on December 22. 1900, he loaned Scudder $100 and accepted his promissory note and that no payments have been made on the principal and the irterest has not been kept up. making the total amount now due $700.
Cnatfield Lancaster, formerly a sa-j loon keeper in the city and rather prominent in business circles, suffered a stroke of paralysis on his right side on Monday afternoon. The affliction is not thought to be serious and he, was reported resting easier on Tues-;
day morning.

AN ASSAULT CASE HEAftD IN JANUARY The case of the state against William Warren, colored, charged with an assault on, a fifteen year old colored girl, has been continued in the Wayne criminal court until the January term of court. He is confined
in the county jail, having failed to
raise the requisite bail.. The assault was committed, according to the affidavit at the driving, park on November 26. - , ' Delmar Griffiths of Milton, the fifteen year old lad charged with forgery, probably will be arraigned in the juvenile court during the week. Evidence against him seems conclusive and it is likely he will be sent to the state reformatory for juveniles.
