FALL FESTIVAL DANCE. The public It Invited to attend the Fall Festival dance to be given Monday evening, December twelfth, in the Coliseum by the tnembere of the Musicians Union for the benefit of the Fall Festival.

jl jl jl SOCIAL EVENTS FOR THE WEEK. Monday A meeting of the Ticknor club will be held with Mrs. Grant at her home In South Eighth street. Members of the Magazine club will meet In the afternoon. Tuesday Mr. Aurele Borriss will give a recital In the Pythian Temple. An admission fee will be asked. The public Is cordially invited to attend. The members of the Tuesday EvenIng assembly will meet In the Odd ' Fellows' ball. Members of a card club will meet lit the afternoon. The hostess will be announced later. A meeting of the Aftermath society "will be held In the afternoon. The members of the East End Aid society of the First Christian church will meet In the afternoon. Wednesday The Domestic Science association will hold Its regular meeting Wednesday afternoon, December seventh at the Parish house of St. Paul's Episcopal church. A demonstration will be given by representatives . of an yeast company and all persons Interested are cordially Invited to be , present. The Ladles Aid society of the First Presbyterian church will hold a basaar. ; A meeting of the Penny club will be held In the afternoon at the usual hour. A meeting of the Woman's Foreign Missionary society of the Grace Meth- , odlst church will be held in the after- '' noon at the home of Mrs. T. A. Mott in North Eleventh street. Thursday Mrs. Charles Kolp's evening dancing class will meet In the Odd Fellows' hall. A meeting of the Woman's Relief corps will be held in the G. A. R. post at the court house. ' Friday Mrs. Kolp's Friday evening dancing class will meet in Odd rooms at the court house. J J J TO GIVE BAZAARS. This week will be a busy one and although only a few social events outside of the regular club meetings have been scheduled for the week nevertheless Christmas bazaars will take their .place. .Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock the Ladles Aid society of the First Presbyterian church will open Ita basaar in the church parlors. A ' number of beautiful articles which will make very appropriate Christmas presents - will be on display at this time. There will also be a Pure Food booth. Home made Christmas candles will also be on sale at this time. Saturday the Ladles Aid society of the First English Lutheran church will give a basaar In a store room on Main street The public is cordially Invited to attend. The ladles of the Reld Memorial church gave a very successful affair of this nature the latter part of last week, almost selling out In one day. Friday evening an informal musical program had been arranged for the pleasure of the women who were guests at the basaar at this time.

Schults baa returned to her borne in Logansport. Indiana, after a visit of several days with Mrs. Jacob Schults and children In Liberty avenue. jl k4 j ON THE DINNER TABLE. Large salt cellars are now used on the table, and not the Individual ones, and the salt shakers are only used In tbe kitchen. The large salt cellars are of silver or of glass and two are enough on the table unless It Is large, and then tour are used. FLOWERS OF TODAY. Tbe day was when flowers were the standbys of all milliner, and the flower industry a profitable one; but for some time now Farlsiennes have been mad about feathers, and nothing else has been used In their hats. Recently, however, there hate been signs that flowers are coming back Into favor, not tbe gorgeous, happy blossoms w knew of old. but pale, faded, tender things such as one sees

About one hundred and fifty persons attended this delightful affair. .Thursday evening a dance was given in the Odd Fellows hall. A special feature of the past week was the number of dances given.
