The ceremony was performed at twelve o'clock, noon; and at the app ointed time as the clock struck tho first note. Miss Georgia Hamilton, who presided at the piano touched the keys, and in accompaniment, sang that beautiful song, "O Promise Me," while the bridal party, composed of the groom and his bride, and their attendants. Dr. Butler and Miss Nellie Shannon went down the stairway and as they entered the library and passed to the marriage altar Miss Hamilton played the wedding march. The altar was prettily arranged in the foreground of a bank of foliage plants In which ferns and palms were a feature, and beneath a white bell of exquisite beauty, and intertwined with the viny smilax. During the ceremony, which was that of the ring, and very Impressive, the sort strains of subdued music floated through the room. The bride was simply attired In a cream chiffon over cream silk and trimmed with pearls in the corsage. She carried brides' roses. Her attendant. Miss Shannon, wore pink chiffon over pink silk and carried flowers. After Mr. and Mrs. La Vere Miller had been tendered congratulations they led the way to the dining room where a very pretty four course luncheon was served, by the city caterers. The house decorations were done in pink and white carnations, and chrysanthemums being tho favorite features. In the afternoon Dr. and Mrs. Miller left amid a shower of rice for their new home at Columbus. Ohio, where the Mr. Miller, who graduated in dentistry from the college, has opened an office. Their home was furnished and awaited their coming. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful presents. The last will and testament or the late Mrs. Mary J. Booth was read at the late home of the Mrs. Booth, on Monday night. In the presence and hearing of some of the relatives and friends. The principal beneficiaries are Mrs. Joseph Cause, the niece of Mrs. Booth's late husband. Theodore Booth, to whon she bequeathed the beautiful home in which she the testator had lived with some additions in the way of furniture. To Mrs. Thos. Doddy, who had been very good to her In times of sickness, she bequeathed $100 and articles of furniture, and to Miss Luella Doddy, who had staid with her of nights and assisted her in her work, at various times, she bequeathed $100 and some keepsakes. The property now occupied by L R. Gresh was to be sold with other househould property belonging to the testator, and after the expenses of her sickness, and funeral, the purchase of a monument for her grave, and all other expenses were paid, the remainder was to be distributed to relatives whose names are not yet given to the public. A party of young people from Lewisville chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fancher, spent a most enjoyable evening at the Methodist parsonage Wednesday evening. The hours sped quickly with music and games. The young ladies of the company proved themselves skilled in the art of cake making by making and treating the company to fudge and other delicacies. The Martha Washington club met Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Frank Huffman, hostess. Mrs. John Bradway discussed the subject "Thanksgiving," with select reading from various members of the club. TRAVELERS GIVE NEW BORN MONEY Ames, Iowa, Dec. 1. The stork keeping up with a swiftly moving eastbound Northwestern train as it pulled over western Iowa, won Its race when this city was reached and the train was stopped so that Mrs. Emma Hamstadt of Columbus, Neb., might be taken from it and removed to a hotel. Kind hearted traveling men who were at the hotel devised a novel plan to provide money to hire a nurse and pay the woman's physician. One traveler took charge of the affair and noised it about that each could have a peep at the new baby -: girl for $1. The travelers responded ' to the scheme and the money needed was soon secured. j
