ENTERTAINED CLASS. Miss Angle Roll entertained In a charming manner recently at ber home, 1010 Doyer street. The guests were the membera of claea number fleven of the Third M. E- Sunday acbool taught by Mra. W. R. Black. The afternoon wss pleasantly spent In playing games. A taffy pulling was also a feature of the afternoon's amusement. Later refreshments were served. Miss Mary Blessing was unable to be present on account of the Illness of ber mother and after the affair several membera of the class took her a part of the refreshments. The class gives socials often, the next one to be held In December. The members of the class are Miss Florence Cook. Miss Myra Roll. Musicians and others Interested in music, are looking forward with interest to the recital which will be given Tuesday evening, December sixth in the Pythian Temple by Mr. Aurele Borrlss of the vocal department at Earlham College. The. program will be a most complete one including operatic, dramatic, oratorio, lyric, classic and modern compositions. Mr. Borrlss has only been In the city a short time, but has made a large circle of friends among the general public as well as musicians. A small admission fee will be asked. A meeting of the Dorcas society was held yesterday afternoon at the home of Miss Alice Knollenberg in South Fourth street. The hours were spent in preparing articles for distribution among the needy families during the Christmas season. N. Garriott last evening by a number of their friends at their home in South B street The affair was given to celebrate Mrs. Garriott's birthday anniversary.
