My rick and Mr. Lewla EL Kins, aon of Mr. Caleb Kins. Both famine are prominent In this city. The affair was celebrated last evening at seven o'clock In the Myrlck residence at 326 North Eleventh street in the presence of , about one .hundred - and thirty persons. The guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Myrlck, Mr. and Mrs. Caleb King. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ahl, Mrs. John ' B. Dougan. Mrs. George Dougan. Mrs. Albert Ileed. Mrs. Frank Reed. Mrs, Frank Glass, Mrs. David W. Dennis. Mrs. Rutherford Jones, Miss Maud Thistlethwaite and Miss Ruth Thistlethwalte. The ritual was said In the north parlor, this apartment having been transformed into a beautiful Indoor garden. The walls were covered with white and penelled with green. Overhead a lattice like effect had been achieved by the decorators, this being intertwined with southern smllax. Numerous minature electric ligbts were placed at various Intervals among the greenery giving the pleasing effect of a starry summer, night. The same Idea or decoration was also carried out in the floor and lower walls, the latter being In moss green tints. Beneath a canopy of smilax studded with small electric lights an arrangement of smllax used at the top with the white chrysanthemums, on ' either side of which burned lamps shaded with artistic green shades, the wedding party stood. The bride, one of the most charming young women of this city entered the ceremony room with her father, preceded by her niece, little Miss Clara M. Myrlck and her nephew. Master Benjamin Abl. Little Miss - Myrlck wore a beautiful white lingerie gown and looked quite . pretty. . The little people formed, an , isle with the white latin ribbons. ' Mr. King entered the ceremony room with the minister. Rev. 8. R. Lyons, of the Held Memorial Presbyterian church. The full ring ceremony was used. fon. The pointed bodice and short sleeves were draped with chiffon. The bodice was V shaped and was edged with beautiful cluny lace and pearl trimmings. She wore a handsome tulle veil, fastened with a wreath of Ullles of the valley. As the guests were being seated, previous to the ceremony. Miss Bessie Naber, of Dayton, Ohio, an accomplished violinist, played "Berceuse" from Jocelyn by Goddard. Miss Karolyn Karl, who is perhaps one of the best vocalists of the city and who with the bride is a member of the Reld Memorial choir sang "Because" and "Once In a While." Miss Mary Naber was the piano accompanist and also played the Lohengrin wedding march for the entrance of the bridal party and the Mendolsshon march after the ceremony. After the ritual had been said an informal reception was held, a number of handsome gowns being worn by the ladies. Mrs. Thomas Ahl, sister of the bride, wore a pretty gown of lavendar chiffon with silk embroidery of the same hue for trimmings. The house had been beautifully decorated throughout, and is well arranged for such an affair as the one which occured last evening. In the east parlor red and green furnished an effective decoration. The chandeliers were adorned with smllax and the lights were capped, with pretty red shades. On the chimney piece
vases of sun-burst roses were placed. Iq the hall yellow chrysanthemums were tised copiously. ' The same color scheme, , red and green was used. In . embellishing the dining room where a buffet supper was served. Ferns, palms and various colored fall flowers were used extensively. Handsome lace mats encircled with smllax were used In appointing the table. In the center a basket filled with chrysanthemums, the handle of the basket being tied with chiffon
ribbon' was placed. At the four cor
ners of the table red shaded candles added to the beauty of the appointments. It was. necessary to serve a number of the guests In the ' living room - and the decorators had ornamented this apartment equally as attractive as the other rooms. Smilax, flowers and the lights in this-room corresponded to those in the dining room! ' Mr. and Mrs. King left last evening for a short wedding trip and upon their return will go at once to their newly appointed home in North Seventeenth street. The bride's traveling gown was a tailored suit of brown, with hat and gloves to correspond. ' Among the out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dick and Mr. and Mrs. Barton Carr, of Hamilton, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. J.- R. Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Myrlck and Miss Charlotte Myrlck, of Indianapolis; Miss Emma Bond, Miss Lucile Jones, Mr. Henry Bond and Mr.' Abner Bond, of Greensfork. They have the best wishes of their hosts pf friends here and elsewhere for a most happy future. Mr. King is a prominent business man of this city, being proprietor, of the Atlantic and Pacific Tea company. The bride has been prominent In musical and social circles here. There were a number of handsome wedding gifts. Among these was a handsome silver vase sent by Mr. Daniel G. Reld. of New York, who is an uncle of the bride. Jt J J : TO MEET. The holidays are drawing near now, and Thanksgiving day is just one week from today. All the shops are showing articles peculiar vto this season of the year. One of the local book shops has a miniature table arranged In the window which is beautifully appointed appropriate to Thanksgiving. Turkeys of course figure most prominently at this time of the year. Plans are being completed for famify reunions, country week-end parties and Thanksgiving outings, and these with the numerous dances already scheduled, the week's social calendar will be a complete one. Of course the students will get an extra holiday, school not resuming until the following Monday.
