As the arrangement "for heat during" former years had been in conjunction with others in the same vicinity of buildings, the heat obtained at times was insufficient to 'make the rooms comfortable. The condition that formerly exlstetd has now been remedied and the club rooms from now on will be found at all times well heated. Every T. P. Women's Clubs tell an interesting story of the incep tion of the organization, which will hold its ' annual ' convention at Rich mond next week; Acording to the local clubwomen, a movement launched at New Harmony in 1850 is responsible for the women's club movement of, the world. T, 1 dana's pioneer club was christens J the Minerva Society and from It came the idea that resulted in the organisation of the Sorosis Club, in New York, famous as the mother of all women's clums. . , The Indiana club was formed through the efforts pf ajrs. Constance Owen Fauntleroy Runcle, who ' now lives in St Louis. . The club disbanded when the civil war broke out but the Idea on ' which its-organisation ' wjs based grew and some time after the New York Sorisis Club was organized.
