Secretary Ballinger, of the Interior department, -today empathetically denied reports that he contemplated resigning. The secretary arrived from the west this morning, and was the guest of honor at a luncheon at noon given by. the Chamber of Commerce and the Real Estate Exchange.

Cincinnati yesterday attained the dignified age of 122 years and in recognition of that fact there was a general display of flags on all public buildings. It was on this date in 1788 that a small party of pioneers crossed over from the Kentucky side of the Ohio river and founded the village of Losantville. About a year later General Arthur St Clair changed the name of the settlement to Cincinnati.
