( A COUNCIL OF WAR HELD
Washington. Sept. 14. A conference will be held soon by the leading republican friends to the administration looking to harmony and rehabilitation of the party. This subject was discussed yesterday in Washington and Beverly. There is a feeling that President Taft has been badly coached In politics. There has been "too much Hitchcock." in other words. A plan la under way to call to the head of the party organisation a virile man who will Inaugurate a new policy of conciliation, who will not prescribe any element" In party that is representative and who will show saner Judgment In party , affairs than has characterised republican management since Taft was Inaugurated. The president is admittedly not a politician. He cannot lead, like Roosevelt and doesn't care to. What he desires la an able advisor. City Statistics Death and Funeral. The youngest divorced couple In the world is to be found In the court of Abyslnia, so we learn from a Paris contemporary. On. May 16 of. last year the Princess Romanic Onosk was married to the Prince Lldj Eyassu. the heir apparent, the bride then - being eight years old and the bridegroom fourteen. Now they have been divorced. It is not a question of fault on either 6ide, no incompatibility of temper, none of the causes which figure so frequently in our divorce division. The princess happens to be the niece of the Empress Taltu and this lady is not popular with the regents of the country. So to prevent the empress exercising any baneful Influence upon the future ruler's wife, the statesmen have required the prince to divorce her. London Globe. Ho -asants U'v. Coroner Bramkamp Bays in his inquest that the "idea of murder is positively disproved, first by the lack of all evidence, on the body and clothing and in the premises; of violence or a struggle and, secondly, by the note left by Mrs. Wickes stating her intention and saying good bye."
