E. church here, will deliver two special sermons Sunday. At 10:30 a. m., the subject will be "The Church Compared to a Vine." Rev. and Mrs. . Barton will sing at the morning service and all are invited to attend the special services. Forty ladies of Economy and vicinity surprised Mrs. O. M. Frailer Tuesday afternoon, it being her thirty-fourth birthday anniversay. Mrs. Frailer was completely surprised when her friends swooped down at her home in such an uncerimonious way. The first ot the program was a quilting bee spiced with social talk and laughter. Light refreshments were served consisting of ice cream, cake and lemonade. Mrs. Frazier received tahle, linen and napkins as a reminder of the pleasant birthday celebration given in her honor. Rev. Fred Greenstreet left for Boston Wednesday, where he will be a student in the "School of Theology" for the next two years. He is one of the leading young ministers ot the M. E. church denomination, and the many friends and relatives that he has in this part of Indiana are expeevting great things in the future for him. The Cambridge City schools open ed Monday morning with an enrollment of three hundred and twenty pupils. Prof. Morrison is planning to establish a school savings bank of which the western states and Michigan have a large number. The object Is to teach the children to save and to save systematically. He believes that the boy who learns to save his pennies and later his dollars, is elevated mentally, morally, socially ' and politically, as well as financially. Miss Fannie Kichler has returned after a visit with Miss Edna Scull of Indianapolis. Mrs. Charles Hale entertained at six o'clock dinner Tuesday evening, the guests of honor being Mr. and Mrs Lee Dairs, of Adams.. The party was composed of Messrs end Mesdames Davis, Isaiah Fricker and family, of Duklin; Er. Wilson and son, and Ern est Doty and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Dawes were at dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Ed.
