A romantic marriage over a year ago when Mary Wright, an Abington township school teacher, eloped with George G. Ranck, one of her pupils. had its sequel in the Wayne Circuit court today when a divorce was granted the ex-teacher for failure to provide. The runaway match was not suspected by the parents of the bride or groom for several months, each continuing to live at home. They saw each other infrequently, and since the birth of her child the plaintiff asserts her husband has given her only $30 towards their support. . She told the court she had Seen him but three times during the past year.. Custody of the child was given the mother: HER CASE PITIFUL Mrs. Lizzie Harris of Economy, widow of the late Charles Harris, trustee of Perry township, was brought to this city this afternoon and placed in the Home for Friendless to await admittance to the Eastern Indiana hospital. She has suicidal tendencies. Her mental condition is attributed to the break down in her health while attending to her husband during his long illness. Electric heat is now being used successively in operating on cancers.
