Philadelphia "Bulletin. is entitled to the $1,000 reward offered by the county commissioners and citi zens of Cambridge City for the arrest and conviction of the murderer. . The popular opinion is that Chief of Police l. A. Gormon alone is entitled to the full credit for the apprehension of the young murderer and is therefore en titled to the reward. The mere arrest of Revalee was a minor detail. Gormon Gets Credit Had not a confession been forced from him by Mr. Gormon, his convic tion would have been Impossible, it is said. It was Mr. Gormon who secured the information which led to Revalee's arrest It was Mr. Gormon who arrested the murder at the instigation of no one and upon his own evidence, Finally it was Mr. Gormon who brought out the confession, and to him all the credit is due, it Is alleged. Ac cording to the law, however, no police officer is permitted to accept a re: ward. The money must be turned over to the police commissioners by the of ficers and in turn is placed : In the hands of the city treasurer, or in this case, in County Treasurer Albertson's hands, as he acts as city treasurer.
