RESTAURANT. The best meals are gotten at Profit's. The best meals are gotten at Profflf a
X S , BY T. C. H.
Remember the dates of the Fort t Wayne convention are May 6 and 7. The T. P. A. hats are arriving daily In large numbers and every fellow
who has ordered one should call at the ' club .rooms or at' Houghton's store and get bis new spring hat -With the election over, the boys have settled' down to normal conditions and are peacefully and quietly , repairing tor the next stunt to be pulled oft of interest to the T. P. A. the , Ft Wayne convention. A large number of the boy 8 of Post C are arrang- - Ing to go to the convention and repre, sent the post in a creditable manner.
No doubt Post C will have one of the largest delegations at ' Ft Wayne of
any post in the state.
The newly elected officers will take
their new positions the last Saturday la April, v The only changes to be
' made are In the vice presidency and the board of directors. The three retiring .directors are Leroy Brown,
Chas. Pierson and Al Mendenhall. The holdover directors are Marlon Shreeves, J. M. Lewis and T. C. Harrington. President Qulgg will succeed himself. Hasty will do likewise and so will Morgan as librarian. . Newt North will fill the chair vacated by Vice President Shreeves. ' The Indiana division of the T. P. A. has been ' working with unusual zeal and vim during the past month, of March and have added to the member
ship's roll the largest number of new members ever written in one month.
Two hundred and forty-eight mem
bers were accepted in Indiana during
March. Of this number Post Q of New
Albany carried off all the honors with
one . hundred and five members to J
their credit Post C followed along the trail with seventeen. A new post;
was organized in the Indiana division being Post Y of Huntington. Ind. The new post starts off with a membership of thirty-nine.; Throughout Indiana, a great interest is being displayed in the T. P. A. in fact, the growth in the entire .national ; organization has. been. very gratifying. Dispite the knocks of other organizations of similar character the T P. A. continues to be the leader of them all. J. B. Hegger diving down into the lower corners of long ' forgotten ac
cumulations of papers, magazines, etc., has stumbled onto a paper of interest to early T. P. A. boys. This article appeared in the early stages of the organization of t!ie local post and was written for the T. P. A. column, appearing then in the Palladium. Any of the old boys will be pleased to read this bit of early history and the same can be seen in the club rooms where the article is now safely framed and hanging in tlie club parlors. J. B. Young of Evansville, after seven years service as press chairman of his post has refused to serve longer
and has retired 1 from the group of Hoosier T. P. A. pressmen. We are
extremely sorry to loose Bro. Young from among our ranks as no more capable or more highly esteemed gentleman ever took the pen to further the cause of the T. P. A. His articles arways carefully written and possessing a world of good thought were always read with great interest by the Indiana T. P. A.'s. That he will be missed by the members of his local post A goes"; without saying, i To his successor we welcome him most heartily and only ask of him that he maintain the high standard established by our retiring Bro. Young. The following clipped from Kleed-
er's T. P. A. column of Marion seems to indicate that we are missed. Nothing b?.s caused cs to become sour, neither are we pouting. That he has been misred is no fault of ours. We trust that hPwili b on the list regularly from now on: "We have not had a word from that white silk hat nmch down at Richmond for- four weeks. - Harrington cut
!us from his list, at least we have not
had the Palladium for several weeks. Don't sit around and pout If you are sore at us tell why. I had .nothing to do with the bovs gold-bricking
j Brother Hiley of your post. We told ihl mnot to go against the game, but he tto-isht he could pick the siell with the little marble under it, as many cf us hr.ve done who hive gone that way before him."
