All replies have not yet been received to letters sent out by the Fish and Game association for , the purpose of
securing speakers for the. banquet to
be held on next Thursday evening in the Odd Fellows' hall. E. E. Earle of
Indianapolis, chief deputy fish and game commissioner, accepted his in
vitation and the association is confi
dent that Z. T. Sweeney and a mem
ber of the Marion County Fish and Game association will do likewise. The program committee is working on ar
rangements and the affair promises to
be a great success. About 150 per
sons are expected to be present and, as
75 mallard ducks and SO pounds of
black bass have been ordered, it is go
ing to be a hard job, It is said, to get
away with all of the "eats."
Several of the officers of Wayne Aerie of Eagles, No. 666, accompanied by
a number of the committeemen of the lodge who have charge of arrange
ments for the Indiana state convention, which is to be held in this city.
June 14, 15, 16, will go to Dayton, O., on April 3, and attend the big meet
ing of Eagles at that place. There will be a number of the officers of the National organization and practically all of the officers of the Indiana organization present'' -The local delegation will hold a conference with these men and it is expected that final arrange
ments for the Indiana convention will be made.
The program for the exhibition drill,
to be given by Oregon lodge, Knights of Pythias, drill team of Dayton. Ohio, at the Coliesum, April 14, under the
auspices of the drill team of Triumph lodge, will be announced next Friday evening. A report on the progress, so far made, at the lodge meeting last evening, showed! that everything had
been arranged,, with the exception of a few numbers on the program. It was also reported that much interest was manifested in the event - It is anticipated that an exceptionally large crowd will attend the exhibition and the dance which will follow.
