PROVISION FOR REPORTS (American News Service? Washington, March 23. The appro priation bill for the legislative, executive and judicial departments of the government was reported in the senate, today carrying $34,044,357. A hundred thousand dollars is appro priated for the expenses of collecting the corporation taxes under the amendment providing that the reports shall be made public only on the order of the president. E. U. Hill. Richmond's famous "rose man." has returned from a successful invasion of the East. At the National Rose Society exhibition at the art museum in New York, Mr. Hill exhibited Richmond rosea with stems five feet in length and was awarded both first and second premier prizes, winning over the famous American Beauty roses. The rose shown by Mr. Hill were generally acknowledged to be the finest ever displayed In New York. At the close of the exhibition Mr. Hill visited Boston and IViver. N. H. At the latter city there Is the largest greenhouse in America, feet long and U2 feet wide and filled with five varieties of roses, propagated by Mr. Hill the Richmond, the Pink Killaruey. the White KUlarney. the Mme. Chatenay and the Rhea Reid. This great floral company intends to discontinue the growth of all Its varieties of red roses, except the Rhea Reid.
